Here are some screenshots for those who don't have beta. Hope they help some.

The screenshot of the stone on the far right with the bundle of wood/sticks next to it is the one I'm wondering about. The symbol on that stone has a diamond shape in the middle of a horseshoe shape (the Horde icon?), while all the others are the icon of the frostwolf clan.

Is there meaning to that stone with regards to Gara? Or is it a red herring of a wild goose chase?

Yea I thought that might mean something too, but not sure what. Although the empty gravestone attracts my attention too. Are we supposed to find a weapon that goes on it? Maybe a bow? All the other small stones that are in line with this one have stuff on them. A sword and broken shield.

I'm (and others) thinking along those lines too and looked at the base of the large headstone - weapons on the stones seem to be placed against the large headstone - except for the axe. So my next jump in my logic is to wonder whether an axe belongs on that empty stone on the far right.... And then I go back to wondering if this is really a clue at all.

B- tried posting this earlier but couldn't get on forums so I posted it on Bendaks site - posting here for visibility

Just made my first pass in FFR - nothing. Hit up all the suspect spots. Only stones with wolf on them were frostwolf clan areas (not surprising) - I noticed that the stuff around them were pretty much the same as by gara - so I think looking for a weapon to lay down or something is a dead end. Art assets are art assets :/

The one hit wolves still one hit me with berry buff - nothing could be found there either.

Tried a few more things with Mother Wolf - and her corpse once you do her quest - can target her corpse - almost thought I had it when it started to let me rez pet on her - was bugged though.

Couldn't find anywhere else that stuck out or dropped anything - went to all the places that have wolves.

Never found anything back in Shdwmoon either - the only thing I couldn't really test out was - matriarch wolf Rare - right next to alli town (North across river area of Gara area) - seems to be a quest or she just never spawned when I was in area - looked like you have to kill a bunch of wolves there ? - didn't try doing that - assumed it was an alli quest thing.

The neutral wolves in Gara area - do not go hostile if you have berry buff - if you eat a berry by them - so not sure why people thought they were aggroing when they had berry buff?

Tried stuff with mother and SB again - trapping at different times - kiting them to different spots -

collected all the offerings in area -did nothing either (was actually the very first thing I did before killing mother the first time)

I am really starting to think something isn't working right somewhere along the line - or this is the most convoluted taming thing going on. Past tames were either camp it - find it by tracking - and then challenge by using different abilities. I have tried numerous things that simulated these methods - nada

not sure if they would really make us go to different zones or not -

what was it that muffins said in a tweet - we would feel connected with the SB when we finally got her????

bout the gravestones again - if you go to frostfire and find the similar sites , they have a very similar make - with weps and nothing on stones - unsure if this is the correct route? Thinking its another item we need to find (like berries) or something that needs to be done with Mother and SB. I find it odd that Mother has a SB with this build all of a sudden - is its purpose just to say , hey look there is a SB - a connection - hmm what are these berries that just dropped? - or is it just something nobody has thought of yet.

I've tried just about every spell that could result with something - and Think I have killed every rare spawn there is (besides the matriarch wolf I talked about ^) -

Can't think of any other tame in a beta that stumped the community like this :O

By the way, if you show Gara the berries, can you do it again or is it one-time event?

And I'll throw this out to add to the pile: this is a hunter taming challenge? Would one or more of our spells be required as part of this challenge? If so, would the spell(s) be specific to the class? to the spec? to both?

So this item was added in this build along with the shadowberry, but no idea where it comes from...

There was also this gray quality bow added: http://wod.wowhead.com/item=120082 My first thought is maybe it needs to be placed on the empty stone, but the NPC it belongs to (http://wod.wowhead.com/npc=87239) doesn't seem to be spawning in Nagrand with the others. I spent a while there. Also, it's probably a dead end because one would assume her master is dead.

I am pretty stumped beyond this.

By the way, if you show Gara the berries, can you do it again or is it one-time event?

My experience was it was a one-time event.

That void lanturn might do something. Sounds like it could from its description. Since Gara is a ghost maybe she is stuck between the void and the real world. Can anyone check if the lanturn is in the toy box, or is it just a soulbound item? Since the lanturn was just added there isn't any info about where to get it yet.

Also I tried talking to Gara with no pets on me, but that didn't do anything either. I bet Muffins is laughing to himself as we all try to figure out this mystery.

Ok, so let's think for a moment. There is ghost that drops berries (Om'ra), which Gara seems to know. And as far as I know wolfs don't eat berries (atleast in WoW), so Gara has probably known Om'ra for sometime in life. She has also probably used/eaten these berries for a long time as Gara knows them instantly. Finally, latest patch added new version of Om'ra, which seems to be different NPC than the one everyone has been killing. And Gara seems now to expect you to do something.

So, based on this, the best quess I can think is that we need to find some place where these berries originate, maybe some bush or hut with garden, and there we would find something useful or have other run in with Om'ra. Anyone got any ideas?

P.S. Going to sleep, will try to brainstorm something new if people find anything during that time.

Maybe somewhere in Shadowmoon Valley? I play horde so I don't know the area, and my map still has blank spaces. I was planning to go looking around Shadowmoon but I can't do so until later tonight.

I've looked at literally every orc-related place in SMV... It's probably so obvious and when we find it out we'll be kicking ourselves. Muffinus is so cruel!

I am genuinely perplexed. I'm sure you're right and once we do find it we'll all be like "D'uhhh", but I just can't see any hints or clues or anything!

still been looking all over shadowmoon - searched are with fel wolves (green) up to where Guldan is. Got a ring from a rare lets you slip into void for 10sec - that did nothing.

rode the ghost talbuk around gara - that did nothing - I've searched and eagle eyed all over.

right now im in lvl90 void wolf area. Wrote down symbols on rocks around gara - and took not of what area looked like from map and mini map - circles and lines. So searching around there and then the lvl 100 area - see what comes up. Only thing that I have no idea are two things still - and this also is why it sucks never leveling an alli here - no idea what's a quest thing and not a lot of exploring time (unlike Frostfire)

1 - the matriarch wolf - still not sure what the deal is - always dead when I go there - cant seem to summon it myself - on hill just south of town (north of gara and stream) - can someone check that out - make sure an item isn't dropping off that wolf (probably not though since I'm having such a hard time getting it to spawn)

2- the runes on ground in lvl 100 area with lvl 100 void wolves. There are portals and different things going on - I think you have to step on them in order - they do decent damage though - have not spent a lot of time trying to figure it out yet.

pretty much spent on trying things with mother and gara - tried a few more things to no avail
I kind of like the idea of finding another place with mothers body or something like that - or whatever the void lantern is - we will see -not many places though I haven't either been to or eagle eyed - but the more people exploring and eagle eyeing around the better I reckon - later

Awesome detective work so far there Moonone. I'll be on in about half an hour when I get in and I'll check out the Matriarch and see if I can find her - Not sure what server y'all are on but the one I'm on is pretty quiet so hopefully I'd have more chance of her being there and not dead.

This I can answer least for prior to this patch on beta. The Matriarch wolf is part of an event for a crystal pylon and an Artificer is trying to fix it for Em'bari village. She's the last mob to spawn after 2 or 3 waves of wolf runners. Last I knew she dropped a strength/Agi sword though this was prior to the patch. The event takes a while to spawn and to start it you need to talk to the artificer.

Other than that I'm at a lose as for what we might be missing for how to tame Gara. Might have to think more outside the box.

I just wish we could get a tiny tiny hint. I actually enjoy this detective work but come on, we have been so creative xD Just would be nice to know if there's a rare drop from the mobs in the area that we haven't managed to obtain yet. Or if there's an npc in a certain area we have to talk to. Or if there's a lootable item on the ground somewhere like a chest or ... I just am at a loss. And can everything be done in a day, or do you have to come back to her daily until you can finally tame her? And is it all done in Smv or is part of it really tied to another zone like FFR? Questions questions questions!

Finished combing over lvl90 void wolf area. _ whats up with the oracle stone?

went all around there - nothing of note - and always using berries in case it's needed.

Went up to the rise - got buffs - read books - made the clothing to wear - nothing mattered , and you lose buffs and clothing once you leave the rise.

Only place left is the level 100 void wolf area.

Also - something I came across yesterday and I keep forgetting to mention - though it may not be of any use at all but here goes.

Google Gara - there is a place somewhere called Gara Stone or something - "lovely views of the ocean and its peaceful and quiet and out of the way" - not sure if it has some relevance to the naming at all - but hey - maybe there's something along the shoreline up high like this??

other than searching the level 100 void wolf part (you get to from Spires kinda) or a rare that hasn't spawned - or something I happened to miss - I'm at a total loss for anything in Shadowmoon. Even got some shiny polish up on the rise that made me shiny but Gara did not care (it's in the pond inside a crate)

Oh well - luck guys , think I'm gonna take a break and maybe ponder out of game.

That's what I've been thinking - that there's some small item on the ground we're all missing. I know there are chests, even weapons and trinkets scattered around Draenor... tons of them. But I haven't seen any that are near Gara or in any of the Shadowmoon orc settlements - just some garrison resources.
