I have tried the Darkmoon Faire Potion, and it doesn't work.

I agree, Vephriel. I don't understand why a random subspecies would be a challenging tame, especially one that can be found all over the place. Challenge tames are great and all, but I think they should mostly be limited to rares or pets with a unique appearance. But at this point, I'm just going to say that it is probably not implemented yet and that it is probably best to wait until next week. Shouldn't take us long to figure it out.

Btw, the Elixir of Searching Eye doesn't do anything. Tried it in combination with Catseye Elixir, as various Hunter abilities. Nothing works.

I know it's unlikely, but idk what else to suggest. Has anyone tried using a draenei Hunter and Gift of the Naaru during taming? I mean it's a long shot, but it is Argus, homeworld of the draenei.

I am a Draenei Hunter and have tried doing that a long while back. Didn't do anything, which I am not surprised. It would limit Panthara to just one race.

If it worked, I figured it wouldn't be limited to draenei, but kinda like goblin/gnomes with mechanicals. So not limited but like "easier"? Head start? Idk lol, I mean it's still require an item for the rest of us nondraenei, but if it worked would've confirmed at least they are tamable and not broken.

But it's all moot anyways, since it didn't work lol

I just hope this isn't another Sha of Anger or Helm of Artful Dodging.

Muffinus saying 'good' to us being stumped isn't really an indication that it's working properly. It just makes me skeptical that this is going to be Lalathin 2.0 where it turns out the item we need to tame them is something ridiculous, like buyable on a three week vendor timer. Secret Finders are quite good at what they do - if it's taking this long, I'm sincerely skeptical that whatever we need is accessible atp.

That is a good point, Dialga. Muffinus wished us luck with finding Lalathin, which caused us to assume that it required a trigger of somesort. In reality, we had to wait until a particular WQ spawned in order to get it.

Just an idea...but how many "Helms" out there let you See things that aren't there?
Like: Stealthers Helm of Second Sight I am not saying this particular helm, but there are helms out there that let you see things...differently. Wondering if maybe it's something like that...?

I don't think it is a stealth thing, since it isn't actually stealthing, and we have tried various things that would reveal stealth. It is basically using magic to cause itself to shimmer and fade, which prevents you from focusing on it. But as has been said, the method may not even be implemented yet.

Honestly, it could very well just be a specific toy, but as toy collections reset on the PTR, we can't really test them.

That it could be. Either way, since Patch Day is just a few days away, it is best we just wait till then to renew our efforts.

It's certainly not impossible :) The logic of the puzzle is really at the whim of the creator. If they decide that panthara love fish and get sluggish and lazy after overindulging then it could be the solution. It's worth trying anyway :)

Leaving things like "is it implemented" or "is it broken" up in the air ruins the fun of trying to figure secrets out.

But it's a secret! Isn't that fun and jolly? Riddles riddles riddles. It's fun to aimlessly try random things until we finally find out what arbitrary item or action one dev brainstormed up as a prerequisite for taming an alien cat.

I am all for secrets and riddles, but Blizz has shown plenty of times in this and prior xpacs that things they have claimed are implemented are either not actually implemented or are broken. But instead of double checking for us or having the decency to communicate with us, they'll often remain quiet. Quiv is right in that it ruins the fun of these sort of things when we aren't sure whether it is broken or even implemented. We could be wasting time on the ptr, since it may not be implemented till live. It could be in the ptr, but is broken. It could go either way, since so many people have been searching, and nothing has been found.

Also, let's be honest: "go do random stuff in hopes that eventually you'll find the right combination of actions or items to crack the case." is not really a fun or interesting secret. Just a frustrating one.

Ah, poo. I'll join in on trying stuff when I can.

Have you guys done those demon eyes with eredar transformation? Maybe something related to that?
