This is pretty funny.
"Do You Like WoW, but HATE Real ID? "If so, cancel your subscription, but keep playing anyways.
If you want to make a statement to Blizzard and actually be heard, you have to talk with your wallet, not some internet forum. Too bad Blizzard doesn't have a drop down labeled "Real ID" under reasons for canceling a subscription, so I picked Poor Support > Representatives didn't seem to care about me or my problems.
Is this an idle threat? Probably as I'll probably resubscribe when the time runs out. Though hey, I'm not subscribed right now, and as far as Blizzard as a company is concerned that's all that matters. So if you want to make a statement about how much you dislike Real ID, cancel your account. Just resubscribe a month later or whenever your subscription runs out; or don't. Either way it's the same effect.
Really people are taking an hour, or hours out of their life to complain on a forum. It takes less than that to unsubscribe and resubscribe to WoW. What are the odds people are going to read your comment on the forums here? The main thread about it is 800+ pages long, and that's just for WoW... America, so no, you're probably not going to be heard. You want to make an impression, do so with your wallet.
Even if you have no intention of quitting WoW, it doesn't take much to cancel your subscription, and then resubscribe later.
What's going to scare Blizzard more? A 10,000 page thread, or 100,000 canceled subscriptions?
