Oh I have! Just didn't know if they counted I've given Condar to my ex, because he was just so silly to autoshot his first one when he tried to tame it. So I camped it out, and gave him a whisper

I've also had my belf toon parked on Echeyakee's spot, with the horn, and doing the summon for guildies who want to tame this beauty ^^

I approve of the name change It's a great reminder that just because you've tamed the rare doesn't mean that it won't hurt to keep an eye out for it so as to give it up for adoption, so to speak.

Unfortunately, no further rare give-aways to report on my part. Found both Gosh-Haldir and Ashtail up at the same time recently (Nix and Lord Condar were flying around as well!), but it was at such a late hour that I found nobody nearby, and decided to madly level my level 12 hunter on that server to 16 in order to tame both of them myself.

Oh, if someone feels like contributing, they can swing by The Razza's spawnpoint. It's in a rather remote location (check Wowhead), and the chimaera will be getting a unique skin in 4.0.6

I look for The Razza sometimes, but don't have any room for it on my main hunter, and none of my alts are high enough level

Gave away my first rare today. I was doing dailies in Twilight Highlands, and after finishing everything I realized there was an archaeology digsite just north of me. Had to fly through one of Sambas' spawnpoints and was thinking, "wouldn't it be funny if the cat was there"... and so he was. I have him on my blood elf hunter, my goblin hunter is nowhere near high enough (and I try not to duplicate pets anyway), and I didn't want to just leave him, so I started hunting for somebody to tame him.

/who twilight highlands hunter

Only one, lvl84. Whispered anyway, but they'd just hit 84 and as such it would've taken an eternity for them to hit 85.

/who orgrimmar hunter 85

Whispered several, no response. Was starting to despair, especially since there were two very persistent other-faction people who kept coming by and targeting me, targeting Sambas... I'd tagged Sambas and hibernated him (I was on my druid main), but that's no deterrent on a PVP server if somebody really wants to pick a fight for the rare.

One! So I send him a whisper. "Excuse me, I was wondering if you'd be interested in taming Sambas?"
"OMG YES"
"Well come on over, but be quick, there's other people flying around. Spawn point left of Thundermar"

The guy gets there in short order, I run out of range to reset Sambas (the tame kept fizzling for some reason, even when he shot Sambas a few times to get him off me), and he tames him.

He wouldn't stop thanking me. Said he had no idea nice people even existed in WoW. Such a nice, warm and fuzzy feeling

So far I've given away a Humar, a Skoll and a Gondria

Wow, it decided to submit it randomly :/ But yeah. the Humar was to some random level 24 in the area, the Skoll to a guildie who had been camping off and on for weeks, and the Gondria to a hunter who had just gotten Arcturis 15 minutes beforehand.

I would've homed a Loque'nahak today, but sadly an 85 warlock came along and ruined it by killing him ;-; I was so depressed. Loque is my favorite spirit beast.

That said, if you have a hunter on Emerald Dream and are currently looking for tameable rares, I'm your girl I often do flybys of the Northrend spawn points, and am always looking for potential homes for rares.

Well, I usually do /who hunter and just sort by level, it's saves whsipering and searching time Might be easier for next time? Ive had people travel from Deepholm to Storm peaks for Skoll ^^

I gave away Sambas about a week ago on Ravencrest - was out looking for Karoma who has been eluding me but figured I'd swing over and check on Sambas even though I had already tamed...and there he was! It was pretty early in the morning (5:30am server) so there were not many people online, but I did manage to find a nice hunter to come out and tame him while I held him in a trap.

Was happy to help another hunter!

You guys gotta tell me how you do this! I tagged and trapped Arcturis for fifteen minutes asking people if they were BM/interested in taming him, and got a bunch of "God, no"s. I killed him since I could send the vest to an alt in need, but I wasn't happy about it.

Ten minutes later Gondria popped up and I did the same thing, got the same responses. I tried tossing a whisper to Taluwen/Jessibelle too just in case but her fiance was on camping for her and said he thought she already had Gondria, so after another ten minutes of debating on if I should tame or kill I walked away with a ring and 20g.

At the very least, they both dropped 'of the Marksman' gear. I don't really want another spirit beast, and I'm considering letting Ghostcrawler go since I have Karoma now, but I still feel pretty bad. I dunno what I'm gonna do if I run across Loque. x_x

I just homed another Gondria Was hanging out with my friend who is currently looking for the Time-Lost Proto Drake, and decided I would check on Gondria and Arcturis to see if they were up - and sure enough, Gondria was wandering around by the Crater of Mam'toth. I held her trapped there for about twenty minutes waiting for my friend to finish his arena match so that he could log over to his hunter to tame her xD

I've been on my quest to find Green Madexx. I just got done doing some arena's on my shaman and saw that it was just past the 12 hour mark since I last saw Madexx so I told my friends before I go do a random heroic, I want to do a pass around Uldum. I zone in, fly over and Madexx spawns directly below me. He spawned in his lovely blue shade, which I currently have so I wanted to find him a home. I frantically checked for people, asked the only other alliance hunter in the zone, he was AFK. I asked in other zones, people said they didn't want him (How sad), so I asked my friend if he could ask in trade chat. He immediately got a whisper and we found Madexx a new home =D Makes me super happy, the guy seemed very happy, tried to pay me I said no way enjoy your beautiful pet.




(As you can see I kited him far far away from the spawn point, didn't want to risk him getting killed lol)

I just found another one while doing rounds in Northrend. Took me twenty minutes of messaging all the hunters in Northrend, and then in Twilight Highlands. Finally found someone in Uldum who was ecstatic to hear that it was up. He quickly headed out to Zul'drak and tamed it just in time for another hunter to swoop down intent on taming it, even though he already have one - I congratulated the first hunter (congrats to Ajex and his new Gondria!) and headed out to look for more rares.

I have to admit I'm and NPCScan-aholic and just love hearing it go off. Now I have a reason to search again for the rares I already have. Last night I was in the basin to pick up my mystery egg. I did the normal flight around all the rare spawn sites, and NPCScan goes off for the lovely Aotona. So I dismount and trapped her. I started the search for another hunter and did a /who hunter. I sorted them by zone first to see if anyone was in the basin but there was none, so then I sorted by level and started looking for anyone 75 or higher and close to the area. I must have whispered 5 hunters before I finally got someone that was excited to come tame. He rushed out, I dismiss my pet and feign death, and the tame went off with out a hitch. Many thanks later, he flies off with his new pet.

This will be fun in finding rares for others to tame.

I've done it a few times, possible if you're lucky. I've had it backfire once, though...hunter's spotter saw it and mangled him trying to get aggro for his friend.
