Mount Acomplishment Thread

I managed to get not one but two of the mounts I have been after for ages over the last week

First I finally, with the help of a group of friends farming shards with me in ICC, managed to finish Shadowmourne on my warrior - and with that, got myself a Crimson Deathcharger

Secondly... After five years of hopelessly running into Vyragosa... I finally managed to get Time-Lost. FINALLY. Now this one is a bit special for me. I'm one of those rare (Yes I realise I'm hindering myself with it... But it's still a personal preference) people who just... Doesn't like to use addons. So I was at a huge disadvantage compared to those who could simply tab out / AFK camp him. I honestly thought it'd be a mount I'd never get.

But then one night last week I simply couldn't sleep... And at 7AM I figured, well it's no use trying to sleep NOW... And I decided to look for Time-Lost, figuring odd hours are the best to try get him if I am to actually fly around searching for him.

Best sleepness night ever. Five minutes later, I found him <3

I actually really commend you for sticking to your guns and refusing to use NPC Scanner or the likes to get it as well.
To be complete honest, I don’t think I would have 1/2 the rare spawn mounts I have if it was not for it, hell I don’t know if I'd have any. O_o
Also now with the area being now merged with other realms, it meant even stiffer competition for you! Massive Gratz!

Well, in the last week and a half I have gotten three new additions!


The first is the thundering jade serpent. It may not be the rarest, but I had been waiting for my guild to get around to the achievement needed to unlock this beauty for awhile... Long story short he's finally mine <3



Second is the mottled drake. Another mount I've wanted for awhile, and one I treated myself to for my B-day...



And last but definitely not least...



The Kor'kron wolf! I haven't been serious about raiding since Cata when I raided DS with my guild. But the prospect of this mount, that would eventually be retired got me back into it again. I've been pugging it since it was cross-realm but it's very difficult to find a competent group. But tonight I got in with a guild group and two-shotted it. I really can't believe I have this guy and I couldn't be happier!

That makes 227; I know some have by some chance of luck obtained quite a bit more (like the player I met recently with 270!) but I really can't believe I've managed this much. I'm still hunting and farming of course, namely for the flametalon... but many of my prior "dream mounts" are now mine. Can't wait for WoD and all the new mounts it brings!

What I did was do the daily around the yak dude area near the beer village. Lots of yak dudes there and they are not too hard to kill and there is 2 rare yak guys who spawn there too! It is a pain to farm seeing as there is one daily for it >.>

If you've got some gear Spirit gave me the tip to kill the yangoul dudes as they give a little bit of rep per kill too. I sometimes went up to the ordos courtyard and farmed those but they are abit harder

Yup killing them is mostly how I did it. That and the daily go hand in hand!

Mount #229 is one I never thought I'd get. I've never been a huge pvp'er. I would do 2's with a friend occasionally, and tried rbgs back in cata, but I was never that into it aside from normal bgs and honor gear. But these mounts pushed me to try rbgs again, and with the help of the ever useful Oqueue I managed to get into quite a few rbgs group and get this beauty. Only four days! I won't say it was all fun; it definitely can be grindy and frustrating if you continuously loose... but I wanted to get at least five wins per day; I ended up aiming for ten instead though.



So many gorgeous details... I just wish It was account wide so my lock could enjoy it too!

Next up is the RBG wolf - 19 more wins for that guy.

Wow Lupen, that is such a gorgeous mount and I'm incredibly envious! I don't PvP much myself, but sometimes I will if I want something, and I want that mount so badly. Maybe I'll try out RBGs after all...

I'd love that mount but the not being account wide thing is putting me off a bit.

Yeah, it not being account wide really is a bummer but I'd rather have one than none Hopefully though it'll be around awhile longer, so perhaps I can get it again on my lock. Right now I'm not really up to doing 40 more, however Not to mention having to gear her up first too..
