Rise of the Shadows!

[Moonlost]

Baaz looked across the cave at Hands. The bird seemed familiar somehow... Wait, wan't that Scarab's companion? Why was she wearing that rag across her eyes.
"You guys managed to kidnap Scarab's own pet?" He asked, ears pricked up. "Hah! I think you may be more brave, or insane, than I previously gave you credit for!"

[Magnakilro]

Chomp nodded, "Yeah...I hoped it'd draw Scarab into the open...he seemed to care about the owl a lot....but he seemed to give up on her when she was in the bag..."

[Azunara]

Cro shook himself awake, stretching and yawning. He grabbed an Oran berry, contentedly munching it and just watching. He was still sad, and bitter that the stupid bug monster escaped, but at least everyone was okay, and now he had a new sister! He wasn't the youngest anymore! That was something to be pleased about.

[Kamalia]

Tira beamed. "Glad to make you feel better!"

"I'd vote with the insane option," Molly said good-naturedly, then nodded somberly at Chomp's words. "It seemed that he switched his mind unusually fast. Scarab doesn't seem to care much about the fate of his troops, but the owl seemed like such an exception... I'm not sure if that was all a show, but it's brought a problem to our plans nonetheless."

[Lupis]

Hands hadn't known that Scarab didn't care. What if what the Feraligator said was true? She didn't want to believe that, and successfully refused to acknowledge it as reality. The doubts stayed, though. Her head spun towards Chomp and she let out a warning hiss, fluffing out her feathers further.

Scarab twitched slightly. Something was nagging at the back of his mind, but the Voices growled and it faded. He ignored it.

[Moonlost]

"That's... unusual." Baaz thought back to his time with the Dusk. The bird was damn inseperable from Scarab. Surely he would have fought tooth and nail before letting her go. Something didn't feel right. "I should warn you, Hands is mute. If you wish to learn any information from her, you shall have to use psionic means."

[Kamalia]

"Ah, I was curious about that. It seems like your hearing is good enough, though, Hands." Molly glanced at the owl as she hissed at them. "Talking to her shouldn't prove to be too difficult for us... provided she's willing to. It's fairly easy to block out words sent through psychic means."

[Azunara]

Cro looked at the bird, head tilted. Brief memories of time spent in the past informed him this bird was a nuisance. And that they were right, the bird was practically continually clinging to its master. He tilted his head. Wouldn't he rescue his bird friend? Cro felt a bit bad for Hands. It wasn't fun to be captured and know that they no one would come save you.

He padded over to Hands. "We won't hurt you, that much. Yeah, we captured you, but we'll treat you nicely. I'll make sure of it. Trust me, I know being kidnapped by the enemy isn't fun at all. So...Don't worry too much. You'll be stuck here, but we won't hurt you and we'll keep you fed. Better than you Dusk would provide."

[Magnakilro]

Chomp sighed, "It was as if Scarab seemed to lose all feelings concerning his army back there...."

[Senna-Umbreon]

((Senna, a thought popped into my head while I was breeding up my Hound pack in HG. I know, who woulda thunk it. I wonder what would happen if my slightly-sociopathic Venin ever met up with Phantom? Or indeed any of your other stray eeveelutions? She needs a chance to stand out and get out of Seventeen's shadow. And since you want something to do with your eeveelutions... It's just a stray thought of course. If you have other plans you want to put in motion, go ahead. ))

((Ooooh, that's an interesting idea... Me like eet! XD Maybe that'll have to happen at some point.

Aaand.. I AM BACK! MWAHAHAHAHAHA! XD))

Ghost grinned as Solara tripped, then let out a yelp as she herself was tripped by the grass, "ACK!!!" She faceplanted into the ground, but immediately struggled back up, darting after Solara, firing a spectral orb at her as she went.

Ghost Girl used Confuse Ray!

[Azunara]

Solara yelped, confused as she fell back a few paces, tripping once more. She shook herself, immediately leaping upright and angling the sunlight into Ghost's eyes.

Solara used Flash!

She cackled.

[rubybeam]

Victini whined "Don't tell me he's went and done something to thunder!" the legendary bit her lip not wanting anything to happen to her priecous childhood friend

[Kamalia]

"Pah, it'll feel like luxury here compared to the fine treatment you Dusk give to your prisoners!" Julius grumbled from across the cave, still lying in wait for Solara and Ghost.

"Are you thinking robot-like as well, Chomp?" Molly shivered. "That was the feeling I got from him. It seemed like he had no emotions, no thoughts, even."

[Magnakilro]

"When Demonica threatened the owl he was angry....but then he just seemed to suddenly stop caring....and your right Molly...like a robot..." Chomp shook his head, "It was odd..."

[Lupis]

Hands was somewhat intrigued by the thought of psychic speech. She had never needed it while communicating with Scarab, they had known each other too well. Instinctively she hissed to herself, burying most of her neck in her fluffed out feathers. What would they ask her about? Where Scarab was? How to kill him? How to destroy all that he had ever stood for? She was willing to talk, but only for her own good. Maybe they knew more about how to find him then she did...
She turned her head to Cro and had to admit it was true. Still, they were keeping her captive. More importantly, they had taken her away from Scarab. He didn't respond in any way to the young Legendary.
Listening to everyone talking about changes in Scarab, she began to feel nervous, and hooted softly to herself in worry.

[Senna-Umbreon]

"GWAH!!!" Ghost yelped as she was blinded. Shaking her head, she charged forward, and though she couldn't see straight, she followed Solara's scent. Her pace got a burst in speed as a white light appeared around her paws again.

Chomp walked up to Hands, "You think there's a way to get her sight back?"

[Moonlost]

Baaz stood up, gently brushing Lilith with his tail as he did so. "I fear that Scarab loosing this last shread of humanity, so to speak, bodes only ill for us. More caution when dealing with the dusk might be wise."
He padded over to Hands, carefully sniffing at the Noctowl. "I'm sorry for the distress your displacement must have caused you. And, I fear, for the blindness I think I caused you."

[Azunara]

Solara yelped, but she was also able to sense Julius' thoughts, as a psychic, and paused, pretending to trip and fall and let Ghost take the lead, snickering.

Cro looked at Hands, lacking much else to say, and laid down, watching the bird carefully.
