Y U TRY TO GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK. Jesus, just had one of the worst scares ever this morning. I woke up and went to turn on my bearded dragon's (Steve) UV and heat lamp on and he was still sleeping on the tile, curled up all nice and cute like..
Steve always opens his eyes as soon as the lights are on and he goes up to bask on his rock, but he didn't budge this time. So I tapped the glass a little and his eyes still didn't open. He didn't move at all, so I opened his tank and poked at him..didn't move..at this point I kind of started getting hysteric and tears were in my eyes, I lifted him into my hand and..he wakes up, and gives me a look that means to say, "What the hell are you doing to me."
My reaction probably sounds like a complete over reaction, but it honestly looked like he was dead. I can't remember a single morning where he didn't open one eye to look at me when I turn his lights on. He's my baby. ;.;

Went out today for an eye appointment, on the way back stopped and got myself some stuff from the store that I didn't exactly need but hey it was bought with my b-day money so it works for me.

I get home and make a mention of it to my friend when he im's me and asks me what I've been up to and he then goes and says 'usually best to use money on yourself with major holidays so close'. Oh gee, thanks for the reminder bud. I had no idea that Christmas was next month, or that Thanksgiving required me to buy presents.

My birthday is the 5th of November. Today was the first day I left the house since I don't have a job or college atm. I still have money left over anyways. But hey, you're the guy who can apparently get away with buying another copy of a game you already pre-ordered because you can't wait the two or three days it takes for the first game to get there. And you're the one who can just ask your Dad to stop by and pick up a brand new game for you on his way home from work. So obviously, I am the one who should be warned for spending her own money on her self when the money was a gift in the first place and had no strings attached to it.

The kicker? I haven't bought something for myself in a while. So obviously I'm not allowed to use my money to get new and shiny things this close to Christmas and only 10 days past my birthday when I got the funds in the first place

Why do you buy presents at thanksgiving? I live in norway and have basically no idea what it is. I think it has something to do with a stuffed turkey, but that's about it. (oh yeah, I could just go to my friend, google, but sometimes I actually like to ask.)

It actually doesn't require presents, but the way he said 'with the major holidays so close' really ticked me off so I used it as an example. I still have plenty of time to get money for Christmas funds after all and if he doesn't like what I got him well too bad.

Well okay, my cousin sometimes has his birthday land on Thanksgiving but typically I treat him to a day of fun rather then out right buy him a present but even then. The present would be specifically for his birthday, not Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is for gorging yourself on food and falling into food comas with the rest of the family. Or if you're at my house, playing poker and or cribbage and other card games and such. Buncha gamblers my family is...

Something that irritates me? People that make judgement calls on things with no knowledge of what's going on in another person's real life.

A lot of people know that I log into WoW in the morning and don't log out until midnight or later at night. They also know that I happen to have a pair of four year old twin sons. Therefore they assume that I 'spend more time playing WoW than with my kids'.

What they don't know is that most of the time that I'm in WoW, I'm not paying attention to it. I'm chatting or roleplaying, but I've generally got a toddler on my lap as I read a book or the both of them next to me while we all three do a puzzle, blocks or shape sorting game together with posts happening in between my turns with the games. I tab out to find alphabet games that I can help them play as they sit on my lap. What these people don't realize that I'm going AFK to make dinner, clean house, change diapers, work on potty training (still refusing), play tickle-monster, let them ride me around like a horse, break up fights, pay bills, hunt for jobs, handle setting up speech therapy or doctors appointments, fix broken toys, kiss boo-boos, console hurt feelings, wipe runny noses, investigate coughing fits or just cuddle. They're not here to see me get up to sing and dance with my kids. They aren't here to see me drag one or the other of the boys into my lap and snuggle and share a kiss or an I love you.

All it takes is a single keystroke every thirty minutes to stay logged into WoW. I tap the spacebar as I pass by my computer on the way to carry out the diaper pail or do cat litter, or between shirts as the twins and I fold laundry. I scroll up to see if anybody whispered me because they need a shoulder to cry on or some advice, then go back to whatever I was doing around the house.

When I remember childhood, I remember waiting for an hour to get my father's attention because he was busy with paperwork. I remember sitting on the floor by my mother's chair because she was reading and couldn't spare the attention. I remember being told that I asked too many questions or talked too much. I remember feeling forgotten and ignored.

So before you accuse me of doing that shit to my kids...come and watch me for a day. I know that I spend a lot more time with and pay a lot more attention to my kids than my parents ever did me...and I bet that I spend more time with them than your parents did with you, too.

I have a friend. She's really cool. Her dad died like 3 or so years ago it was sad really sad. Yeah she was down and stuff who wouldnt be? but she got over that sadness and I've never seen her ever use it as a excuse to be a total ass hat to anyone.
Not once shes better than that BUT her bro he's another story he thinks becouse his dads dead he can be a total dickwad to me and his sisters mates and the reason he allways gives is "My dads dead be nice to me!" Look I can understand being upset about your dad going away but doing this shit after 3 years? Thats just childish every one else in your family has moved on yes they still miss him thats normal but they got over what your doing. Your 25 years old for christ sake! Your 21 year old sister acts older than you! I mean your mum was a mess but she pick herself up and is a happy lady now can't you be?

As for my own rant.. My head hurts. It's cold, both outdoors and indoors. The store doesn't have decent breakfast before 11.30.
Also, I am not buying all this food for me. I am buying for two. My boyfriend needs breakfast aswell, so don't look at me as if I were a fat cow hoarding food. That's why I don't like buying foodstuffs for others if I am going alone. Go stare yourself down in the mirror instead, saves me wanting to foot-face you.

I can relate to the lizard experiance. I have a 17yr old cat who sometimes get into such a comatose sleep that she doesnt even look like she's breathing! I can poke her and even lift her head up or pick her up and she doesnt even twitch! Each time I think "this is it, she's died in her sleep" and then siddenly she stretches out, yawns and looks at me with her half blind eyes as if asking me why I have tears in my eyes. So, yes, I feel that frusteration...

I can also relate to wow and having a kid. I to keep wow runnning all day, if only just ot read guild chat and keep in touch with people. Most of the time I go afk playing with my daughter or doing house hold chores, push the space button every now and then to keep from getting booted. So yeah, I know exactly how you feel and how annoying it is when people who dont see what your actually doing, think that your just playing games all day!

Can somebody please tell me, am I overreacting or am I not?

The case is this.

We have four kittens, 8 weeks old. Since friday their waste has been liquid, they have been having diarrhead. I called the vet monday, and they said that as long as there is no sign of dehydration, they should be fine, but that it would be a very good idea to take them in. I could try giving them zoolac, I am still waiting to receive it, and yoghurt, and eventually boiled rice and chicken. I have tried doing that, and they love it, but I see no signs of them getting better.

Yesterday, I checked the skin of the back of their necks again, I pinched it slightly, and when I released the hold, the skin kept standing up. If that is not a sign of dehydration, god knows what. I asked today, just now if I could borrow a phone to call the vet about when they close, because I thought it was about time to actually take them in and have them checked, but they say that they (they being the people that live in this house) don't think it is necessary (I apologize for long sentences btw). They said that since they seem to be fine, running around and all that, cuddling like normal, there is probably nothing. What exactly could it be that caused it? Is it the food they are getting? I give them the normal dry food and wet food once a day, and cat milk mixed with water (vet said that was ok). I try to get as much liquids in them as I can, but they just don't want to drink that much.

I want them to the vet now, even if they seem to be in shape. The other people here suggested taking away the wet food, as they can be reacting to that, but wouldn't they have gotten a reaction earlier (they have eaten wet food since they started exploring real food, since I feed that to my little princess aswell. They started around 4 weeks old)? I will try that, but that is going to be four hungry kitties, since they don't chew dry food as well yet. Should I stop entirely with yoghurt? Everyone else I have spoken to tells me to take them to the vet. I would have done that long ago, if I had a car and a drivers license. I need someone to drive me, because there is no buses around here. I don't know what to do, and I want to cry. I can't give away sick kittens.

Again, I am so sorry for long sentences and otherwise a long and messy post. I just really need some input. There's not much I can do, since they are not mine. I take care of them as if they were though, someone have to teach them to like friendly humans.

You could always try a cab/taxi. That's what I did when I had to make an emergency rush to the vet (I thought Penguin was dying.. limp body.. barely any breathing.. purple tongue... it was the most terrifying moment of my life). They should be okay with the cats being taken so long as they're properly contained, but you could also mention when calling for one that you're doing a run to a vet with pets, just so they don't send you someone severely allergic to cats or something. You could even call the vet and see if they have some service for transport, or a housecall, might cost a lot more though.

As the the phone thing.. Maybe you should get your own if you're in a situation where people can choose not to let you use one. Cell.. or even your own landline. I know that I would hate the idea that someone might be able to deny me access to a phone when it might be necessary o.o But then, I don't know your living situation, so maybe I'm just imsinterpreting.

Ah, but I do have my own phone, but it is refilled with about $35 every month, but due to a couple of phonecalls I'd have taken a few days prior, my phone was drained. I very rarely use it to call with. I could borrow a phone, but if I had no one to take me to the vet with the kittes, it wouldn't have been of any use.

Also, I just got some news. We are having them dewormed. That will fix it, I am pretty sure. None of the other litters have been dewormed (counting perhaps 5 litters), so that is not something they have even considered, even if it should be done. And if they have worms now, that would explain everything, and give us a cure that wouldn't cost us a months of paychecks.

I just realized another problem why the people here don't want them to the vet, and that is because of the money. We'd have to pay at least $1750, and I don't have that much, and neither do they. Money is scarce here, but we have money for food so we live ok.
