Solaira's Pet Journal
Re: Solaira's Pet Journal
Dear Journal,
I stopped by Darkshire for a bit to see Shadwyn. On my way back, I swear I saw the weirdest group chased by a worgen. Three goblins and a troll, all running from a worgen, splashing across the river to Elwynn. I'm not sure what was going on in Elwynn, but at some point, I saw another druid meet up with them, one in her feline form. They all went to Goldshire, and the gryphon flew us away.
Weird.
We returned to Stranglethorn and then were off to be recruited. Here we go. I went up, and he said that some human hunter ran around killing pirates. He said his buds were drunk, (I knew I shouldn't have left survivors!) and told me to kill Fleet Master Seahorn. Oh boy. This should be interesting.
He told us to get a fake head and hat, so off we were to, er, kill a cow. Informing her it was for the greater good, I get ready to cut off her head, but I just couldn't do it. Seventeen stepped in, whoever, and easily killed the cow, ripped her haunch, and started eating that. I took her head, and we left the building, covered in blood, cow head in my hands, a huge cow leg in her mouth.
Alright then.
We fetched a hat, and then went off to watch him beat up the head and hat. He informed me most taurens would be disgusted. He found it amusing. Okaaaay, I think these pirates have been in the sun too long.
Returning, and he was impressed. Okay, I was in! As a pirate now of Captain Keelhaul abord the Riptide, Seventeen and I were ready to do piratey things. I practiced my pirate and everything! Yaaaar, me name be Solaira, and I be part of the Riptide, yaaar.
Pretty good, huh?
We set to work swabbing, even Seventeen helped, pointing out the stains to me. I managed, through a lot of luck, and speed to swab those decks. We also were told to collect cannonballs and prevent SCURVY.
We collected our cannonballs and fought some sharks.
We then had to kill some lime thieves. Dirty lime thieves. At least they aren't gorillas. We then were recruited onto Fleet Master Fiallon's ship, the Crimson Veil. We got some practice on Ol'Blasty.
Then out we went to kill some goblins so we could get "Black Gold". Pirate term for some weird thing. Then, we went out to kill some ninjas.
Once the ninjas were killed, we went off to go talk to the Captain and Ironpatch. Ironpatch must've talked about me, because next thing I know, I'm captain of the Damsel's Luck! We found their plans, and sprang into actions. We sabatoged some grog, and talked to some Brashtide Crew members (Whoever they are.) and made some mutiny by killing corsairs.
It looks like all the Brashtide are worgen, they had been trapped at Gilneas. We found out what we could, did what we could, and with that, hearthed out. Ready for the final showdown. We went to go get some rum, and the pirates came to play. Chaos.
We tore apart the defiant worgen, and went onto my former ship to take care of what was my crew. They looked surprised, seeing their captain turn upon them with her huge panther and rip them to shreds.
We took to Windrider back to destroy the Brashtide. I will give the Horde credit, while the Wind Rider may not be as pretty or noble as the gryphons, they're brave and loyal beasts. She flew down really low so I could get a great shot, despite the risk of being gunned down. Brave creatures.
We flew out to take care of Firallon, and the wind rider and I landed on the ship. I went down to take care of the Fleet Master and his parrot, and we did so. The next thing I knew, there was a stabbing pain, and everything went dark.
When I woke up again, I was in a bed with the rogue trainer standing over me worriedly, asking if I was okay. I guess the master of knocking people out would be a good care-taker as any. They said they found me in the harbor, but...
Seventeen wasn't around.
I frantically leaped into the ocean to try and find her, swimming through the fishes, and eventually, I did find her. She was floating on a piece of driftwood, barely breathing. She gave a quiet meow to me as she saw me, and lifted a paw, placing it on my hand. I told her to stay, not to go. I'd save her. But she was covered in wounds from the battle, and it looks like she fought whoever took me out and chased them away.
She gave me a small, cat like grin, and thanked me for helping her live again. And with that, she breathed her last.
It had been seventeen days since the Panther introduced her to me. Seventeen days she was with me. My Seventeen...

Re: Solaira's Pet Journal
Dear Journal,
It was raining.
I had little choice but to move onto Western Plaguelands, Andorhal needed me and all of that. Demoralized, I moved on. Andorhal was chaotic, but the death knight there seemed glad -as glad as you can get- to see me.
I took care of the undead there, throwing myself into the attack. The local fighters were surprised by my ferocity, as I went about slaughtering what I could.
As I went to the inn to rest, something huge and green leaped out of the shadows from the rafters. I brought up my weapon to kill it, but it skittered away, chittering at me. I could see it was a spider. It watched me carefully, chattering. Finally, I placed a bit of meat down, and stepped away. Like lightning, it took the food and jumped away, watching. Soothingly, I offered it more food and it squeaked as it took the meat out of my hand. It looked up at me, and shrieked.
Standing in the door was undead. It moved to kill me, but the spider reacted first, firing a web of silk and rendering it immobile. Between the two of us, it died quickly. Looking back at the spider, I decided she'd be a good friend to have.
I'm calling her Arachne.

I have yet to think of what'll happen to Arachne.
And oh! Bear! That's a good idea.

Re: Solaira's Pet Journal
Dear Journal,
According to Thassarian, they had lost Andorhal a few weeks ago (Another hunter helped them, actually.) but the Scourge attacked Chillwind, so we returned to Andorhal to finish them off and try to take out the Forsaken again. As if we did it one more time, we'd win. Well, no offense to that hunter, but they have me and Sev-Arachne now. We'll win!
We had to kill Behemoths,
and finish off Scourge. We also had to kill skeletons, and their Animus, with explosives. The BOOOMs were quite satisfactory, really. Between you and me, journal, I think Thassarian is a jerk. He didn't seemed as pleased that I managed to kill all of those Scourge without a scratch. He didn't really like Arachne either. Lurid was nice though.
Then, we were told to kill Rattlegore and Darkmaster Gandling, of Scholomance. As well, we were to blow this guy, Araj the Summoner, to smithereens. So Arachne and I set out, our first stop was Rattlegore.
Then, Araj the Summoner:
And lastly, Darkmaster Gandling:
Gandling trapped me in this forcefield thing, but Thassarian and this other guy charged in. I found out his name was Koltira, and that the two of them had been friends a long time back, but were now enemies. They made a promise that I'm not supposed to say much more about.
Gandling also knew Arachne's name and told her to die. Meanie.
We returned to Thassarian, who told us to return to Chillwind to see how they were going. He didn't want to fight Koltira and his troops yet.
Arachne and I are going to rest for the night, then set out again. It's been a tiring day.

Re: Solaira's Pet Journal
And Arachne is pretty nice. I like her. First time with a spider, I believe.
Re: Solaira's Pet Journal
Dear Journal,
I haven't seen Darkrai in days now. I'm worried for him and Speck. I heard from both Shadwyn and Scylla recently, they're doing great. I haven't heard from Ghost in days either. I think it's official, she's through with me. Doesn't need me anymore. Whatever.
I was assigned in Chillwind Camp to kill some bears so the people could eat and to collect feathers.
I could bear-ly -get it?- stand seperating Arachne's web from the hide, but eventually we pulled it off and got all our meat and feathers. Then, we had to place tribute in front of a statue of a man named Uther, and free restless spirits. Some spirits were grateful to be freed, but a few were furious, and lashed out at me. Arachne bravely took the blows, and sunk her fangs into the spirit. The magic cast on them to free them must have made them solid enough to physically strike.
They sounded more scared, really, to leave. Maybe they liked that place. Maybe they didn't want to leave their homeland, where they had been born and died. The locals told me of a brother and sister who lived in the area. They had lived relatively peacefully, avoiding the others and just enjoying themselves. They were magi, one specialziing in fire, the other in arcane. But their magic drew the attention of the locals, and jealous and afraid, they attacked and killed the two.
They say that the spirits still wander the graves, and they refuse to be seperated. If you tried to banish one, the other would tear at the banisher until they were dead and their siblings was safe. Asking around, a few locals remembered their grandparents talking about them. Aralos and Crow, they said their names were. So even in death, they cling to what they knew and each other....
I hope if I die, someone will stay with me. Being alone sounds scary, when you're dead. I wonder if Sparky or Seventeen are lonely...I hope not.
With that story in mind, Arachne and I went to ask for Uther's Blessing. We placed the tribute, and everything seemed calm, renewed. There was a flash of light and the priest nearby seemed satisfied. He told me the Tribute was accepted and Uther would watch over us. He then told me how to find where weapons and armor was, so we could try and retake Andorhal.
We got down, only to find everything was broken. It seemed other people had gotten to the weaponry before we did. I heard noise, and turned only to find we had been ambushed and trapped by undead. They wore the armor and weapons we needed! Arachne chittered furiously, and snarled something over the Spirit Link. She seemed upset they ambushed us and wanted to hurt me.
They strategically waited around corners and rooms, and Arachne led the way, giving a shriek everytime she charged into battle. We fought our way through the mass of undead, as they closed in, clanking and cackling at us. Those with coherence crowed that we would be one of them. It was scary, really scary, but Arachne vigilantly kept me safe, lashing out with her fangs and front legs, breaking them in half.
We pushed our way through, and finally managed to escape. Arachne seemed pleased, spitting out a piece of silk and looping it around my ankle, chittering and almost making a purring sound, glad her mistress was perfectly safe.
The farmers there had left by the time we returned, and Arachne and I were sent to yell at them, and give them the weapons. We gave them the armor (they didn't want the weapons.) and were ordered to kill as many Forsaken as we could.
We were then told to teach some farmers a few tricks. I agreed, and they came along with me to fight this undead, Gory. He wanted to "help". So, Arachne and I went with the few farmers to have combat training.
They're no Bravo Company, but they seem to be brave, determined men. We successfully fought off Gory and the men went off to finish the battle and take care of the last of the Forsaken. Without much else to do, I went to Mender's Stead as I was assigned.
We were informed we had to kill some bad crops, collect samples of plague animals, and help teach a young troll how properly to be a druid. Off we were to take care of fruit and it turns out it was the undead!
They inflict a curse upon me and I had some strange energy glowing around me that wouldn't go away. Arachne didn't like it much, it made her nervous. It didn't seem to have much in the way of negative effect, so I moved on, not too worried.
((Zen'kiki was bugged. As long as I have him, I was stuck on the Demon Summoning animation.
))
We had to kill some wolves, spiders, and bears. Arachne didn't seem too bothered to kill the spiders. Once finished, we were told to help Zen'kiki kill some birds. Despite the fact there were a LOT of birds, they flew too high to notice us. Until, that is, we hit one with Zen'kiki's wrath. Well, less hit and more sent spiraling away from it and startled it. They spat on us, too. Eugh.
We were leaving to our next destination, when I noticed Zerak was limping. The horse gave a pained, tired whinny and stamped one of his feet. I looked at him worriedly, and led him back down to the Stead. They took him and said they'd take care of him. They led an armored white horse out, and it nuzzled my hand. They said I could ride her until Zerak was better. Her name was Molly, and Molly seemed like a nice enough horse. With that, I was off to help out at a lumber mill.
