For the record: Some standardbred racehorses have a Pace gate, meaning that they lift their legs in the sequence you showed above. It is done at a faster pace though >_> *starts digging around internet to show an example*

I've been kinda busy lately, so sorry for the lack of updates! I still have requests to do and commission info to set up and so on, but I'm chipping away at it as fast as I can. I've found that pencil sketches are a loooot more fun to do than slaving over Paint and they tend to have more 'life' to them, so I imagine most of the work in this post will be(surprise) traditional-based. Also nothing in this post is actually finished. I'll post completed versions later.


Having a crap day, drew some baby Ponies.


This girl really needs a name(both for MLP-land and as a human), since she's being developed as an actual RP character. I don't think the wings will be staying, though, as I like her as an Earth Pony since it suits her personality(a really "down to earth" realist and generally a pretty snarky Pony).


Same Pony, humanified. Forgive the sloppy anatomy, I only glanced at the reference image for the basic shapes. Wish I had a jacket that cool. And freckles, even though you can't see them since I zoomed out too far. ;P

I didn't really want to finish this one since I'm not keeping the wings and I think it sorta looks nicer that way. Mmm, gel pens.

Starbuck got a gender change to be developed as a slightly more interesting RP character. She doesn't have any connection with Blaze, she just happens to be there.
