I like that the mane sticks out, that's something I think that lacks on the dark stone quilin. It just doesn't stand out as much, even the natural stone quilin looks better than the blue/purple in that sense.
You guys look good together. The different color mane and adornments is really what made me decide on taming Portent when I hit 90. It just adds something to the model.

Anyways, here's Kalhoun hanging out with his new buddy, Bristlespine (aka Prickles). I found it amusing that something so tiny defaulted as Tenacity spec! They're tougher than they look!

I hadn't intended to tame a crane (apart from Patrannache, who continues to elude me), but he was all by himself in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms... And you know how they say pets and their owners tend to look alike...?

Decided to go ahead and replace my Terrorpene with the Krosh before I head to bed tonight. Loud turtle is loud, my gosh. He rumbles when he walks. I'm thinking about naming him something completely silly to compliment his loud feet.

Here he is sizing up his new owner, deciding if I'm worthy or not to be his friend and master. (Don't move, don't look him in the eyes.. don't move.. don't look him in the eyes....)

Aww the turtle suits you very well :)

I replaced my white crane on my Panda hunter so Tårnfalk had to get a new companion

And i fell in love with the black one :)

She has a ton of grace and personality and i feel like i click with her way more then i did the white one which i just tamed cause it was white

My sofare unnamed black beauty is just lovely. I really like her :)

Are you taking a picture of me!! Without I had the time to clean my feathers! The nerve! I love that look

After she had cleaned her feathers she was more kean to get her picture taken :D

The night before last, I logged my hunter out near the brewery in Four Winds. My normal course of action on a regular WoW night is to log onto my 85 jewelcrafter pally and do the daily in Org, the over to my 90 warrior to do the 10 million dailies, and finally to the 86 hunter for some leveling and crane hunting. I dunno why, but last night I logged onto the hunter first.

I'd been a little grumbly about the assorted critters and little 'rocks' in the terrain that, when seen from a little ways off, resemble what I expected the barely visible tracks. I experimented with lower settings and such then rode around a little, looking for tracks before returning to the spot I'd chosen to camp. I based the spot on the video Kalliope had made. I figured that by getting the same view as was in the vid, I'd know I was in a spot Patrannache would walk past (as opposed to trying to guess based on the pathing maps and maybe being too far to one side or the other).

Anyway, I parked myself in the spot and hit logout. While the timer counted down to logout, I was grumping to myself again about the little critters and things that would sometimes make me think I'd spotted a track. For no particular reason, I moused over a couple, saying to myself "like that damned cricket thing and that....barely visible track??" So I canceled the logout (for once actually grateful for the 20 second timer when not in an inn or capitol city), went over and, yup..a track. I knew it hadn't been there before, so it had to be fresh. Odds are it appeared while I was setting my graphics higher in preparation for logging onto my warrior. I set 'em low again and checked the bird's route, deciding on a spot a little NW of the brewery, with a little bend in the road, just south of that plateau where you do a lot of the cooking dailies. I headed on up, and shot off a couple flares. The second one revealed a big pink bird.

It took two attempts to make the tame. The first time, I was clumsy and accidentally hit my Conc Shot key instead of Hunters Mark. Feigned, re-flared, marked and got my bird.

Image

I never did spot another track after that first one. It was the start of a decent night in WoW. After showing off my new friend to some folks, I spent time on my warrior getting some nice boots after killing the Sha of Anger, a silly but fun toy from one of the world rares, and some good wins in EoTS while helping a friend in the last steps of getting Battlemaster.

Findu has two "new" friends.

The first one is Atuin, her turtle. Terrorpene has cooled down and found a new shell to live in. I found Bloodtooth while exploring Krasarang and he was just turning around at the fisher village. I flared found him and well... tamed. I just couldn't resist him and Terrorpene seemed so out of place in Pandaria. I really like my new Atuin. I didn't want a dragon turtle with Findu, I didn't like them on the beta with my bloodelf, but hell... he's so charming and he totally won me over.
Image

The other new pet ist Torsby. I want to try out the red Portent once I'm on the right level and find him with the right color, but for now the red organic skin matches my set and he looks good. Perhaps he will even stay.... I didn't think Quilen would be so huge next to a bloodelf.

So last night I hit 90, and today I decided to log in and find Portent. I'm planning on taming the green one, since I like green, and Kalhoun seems to collect green pets. Another hunter was in the area, and once I found Portent (he was green) she beat me in hitting the tame button (darn my old lady reflexes!). BAWWWWW.

Nah, it's ok. I congratulated her. I think she was technically in the area first anyways. There will be more Portents!

But in the meantime, I'm growing pretty fond of my Bronze Quilen, Animus.

And I also gave my old scorpid a make-over. Clementine is now a Kor'thik Scorpid. I've wanted this skin since I first saw it (I think it was listed on Petopia as unused during Cata).

Well, he's bigger than usual in that pic. I realized I had one Darkmoon Firewater taking up a bag slot and drank it before I got ready to log out. My hunter's an herbalist/skinner (a hunter-gatherer!) and I've got tons of junk cluttering up the bank and void storage, so bag space is really at a premium for him. I drank the firewater to free up one more slot.

Ah! That makes sense. I was really confused there. "I don't remember Tauren being that huge! Maybe I've been on Alliance too long!"

Hiya everyone! :)

First time posting on the forum, although I have long used it to help track down my rare partners in crime, and I thought that shamelessly showing off my two new rare beasties would be a good way to introduce myself! :D

(Note in advance; I am not that experienced with screenshot taking, so they may not be that great. I think the clouds are pretty though!)

This is Gray (Savage) my first MoP. Have to say, I love the new 'tracking' way of hunting.

Image

This is Musubi (Patrannache) who may very well be a contender to the coolest hunter pet ever, and my MoP main pet (Until they add some new Spirit Beasts at least!)

Image

I hope to find Hexapos, perhaps Stompy and just maybe Bristlespine and Portent when I reach the right level. If it was up to me, then I would tame them all! Alas, my stables is getting pretty full...

Probably my last MoP tame until the new Spirit Beasts come out (What will they be? What will they be?), so no more spamming this thread for a while for me! XD

I wanted a Portent, but I couldn't decide on a color. I wanted red or green, I knew that for sure. So I found green pretty fast.

Image

I like him from the front, but his back was... I don't know. Too green? I'm such a picky butt.

I saw all of his other colors while trying to find a red. And green spawned like, six times in a row. Thankfully, I noticed Portent's respawn timer after being tamed (by myself or other hunters who I watched catch him) is only 30 minutes! Finally, very late last night, red spawned.

Image

I think he's my favorite by far. I like that he has a spot on his forehead that matches his mane. It's a shame about those silly whisker boxes, and I noticed his eyebrows aren't "cut out." Poor red Portent needs some Blizz love. He's staying with me regardless. Hopefully, his glitches will be fixed in the new patch (although I remember the hyena model glitch where their bum turned inside out lasted for like two years).

I need a name for him. Might just name him Animus, like my Bronze Quilen.

Not sure if he is a keeper since im really keen on being BM/Bm - and IMO he has a little " i could not get Skoll so this is the next bext thing" about him ;)

Just my personal opinion, but I like that light bluish silver color better. Skoll is a bit too blue for me, but I really like that color you've got. It's just personal preference. :)
