Really cool.
Not like -- the most accurate raptors, when we're talking about feathers. But they're something! And they are nice. Like the colours on the first one.
Too mean!Wain wrote:The other two. I'm sorry.... I think the furry raptor still looks too much like the model it's based on. All I can see is the raptor wearing a mask and a fur coat, which is jarring. I think it needs more work to differentiate it and make the new add-ons blend.
Ah, I dunno. It looks quite okay to me, but I can see where you're coming from. To me, it just looks like Blizzard's version of a feathered raptor. Not really accurate at all, but I'm actually happy they gave it a shot. I expected them to stick with JP Dinos forever.Wain wrote: The other two. I'm sorry.... Yeah me too, I named mine Bronx at the time, how they are all boxy and business up front.Nachtwulf wrote: I always thought the draenor hydras had a sort of goofy pitbull look to them as it was.

Hmm, until you put them side-by-side I hadn't realized how great the difference was, in texturing and also the wandering iris position. I think the Draenor wolf really is a beautiful model. And I love the new model a lot too, even the shading is great, but I feel the colouring is not quite as good as the model it's intended for.SpiritBinder wrote:I REALLY like the new wolf model, but agree who ever is doing the skin files is not on the money for me. They do seem very flat in the colour department... And I don't mean it's lacking intensity in colour, they are almost too saturated in colour, but diversity in colour on the skin.
Compared to the texture and colour diversity of WoD wolves, it's really quite noticeable.

Mana Sabers could've easily been a part of the cat family. But now they're gonna be in a family for that specific creature, and never get any attention past Legion because - again - it's such a specific family.
Kind of feeling the same way. :/ I'd rather get some of the exciting unused families than strange rehashes of pre-existing ones.
This. I know I keep talking about the same few families, but those slots could've really gone to Kunchong, Pterrorwings, Dread Ravens, Elekk, Kodo (especially with their new models. Could have Mushan and Thunder Lizards too), Sandreavers, etc.
Especially if Scalehide really end up being those basilisk creatures. Then it'll be two redundant families and one actually new family.
