Really cool.

Not like -- the most accurate raptors, when we're talking about feathers. But they're something! And they are nice. Like the colours on the first one.

Yesss.

Not a gigantic fan of wolves, but I've been hoping for wolves like these as hunter pets ever since I saw the boss.

Wow, the wolves look fantastic. Though by the colour choices they were obviously made by M. Monochrome in the art team, whoever was responsible for the nightsabers. In a way that makes the colours bland, but in another way maybe it will make them pop a bit more as they won't blend in to the landscape.

The other two. I'm sorry.... I think the furry raptor still looks too much like the model it's based on. All I can see is the raptor wearing a mask and a fur coat, which is jarring. I think it needs more work to differentiate it and make the new add-ons blend.

The dog-heads-on-the-Draenor-hydra creature... I have no idea what to think of that yet. Is it a new hydra? Or a multi-headed dog that they perhaps haven't differentiated enough from the hydra model it's obviously derived from? Again I find it a bit jarring to see a model I find too familiar, but with dogs' heads stuck on it.

Ah, I dunno. It looks quite okay to me, but I can see where you're coming from. To me, it just looks like Blizzard's version of a feathered raptor. Not really accurate at all, but I'm actually happy they gave it a shot. I expected them to stick with JP Dinos forever.

By the way, I'm guessing there's no unarmored/beasty spider model yet?

I can't grab the new models till the build comes down. Currently only sites that know how to grab it early have got it.

There's this thing, but it's a) apparently a boss and b) looks more like the semi-humanoid spider things so probably isn't actually a beast.

I REALLY like the new wolf model, but agree who ever is doing the skin files is not on the money for me. They do seem very flat in the colour department... And I don't mean it's lacking intensity in colour, they are almost too saturated in colour, but diversity in colour on the skin.

Compared to the texture and colour diversity of WoD wolves, it's really quite noticeable.

Image

My other issue and with many of the models so far are the eyes, they are just so important to me.
The eyes on the wolf almost look like that of a Bird. It's iris aim out in opposite directions, which wolves can't even do, they are a predators with forward facing eyes.
If they moved the pupil forward a bit it would make the world of difference imo.

Image

All I see is...

Image

... and I don't think I could tame one

That Said I'm quite liking the Eagle, I liked the idea of having one before, but the current model never appealed to me that much, but the new one is really slick! :)

I believe Wain has said that scalehides are kodos, mushan, and stegodons / thunder lizards. I wonder what the feathered raptors would look like on the tallstrider skeleton. Maybe the cerebus dogs will end up in the corehound family.

I actually really like the dog hydra. I'm sure they're going for a 'Cerberus' kind of thing, especially since they all have collars on, but even so I imagine they'll still go in the hydra family.

I always thought the draenor hydras had a sort of goofy pitbull look to them as it was, and now I have every plan to get one of these new ones and name him Pibbles.

Hmm, until you put them side-by-side I hadn't realized how great the difference was, in texturing and also the wandering iris position. I think the Draenor wolf really is a beautiful model. And I love the new model a lot too, even the shading is great, but I feel the colouring is not quite as good as the model it's intended for.

But, you know, if Worgen ever got to fully change into a wolf, this would be a great model for it! Somehow it just seems right to me.

Part of what throws off the new wolf model for me is the back hump to me looks bad. With the Draenor wolves it could be played off as a mane. This just looks like the wolf has something wrong with it's spine. If it wasn't so pronounced and yes the wolf wasn't as saturated I'd definitely fawn over it and pray that Hati got this model.

Mana Sabers could've easily been a part of the cat family. But now they're gonna be in a family for that specific creature, and never get any attention past Legion because - again - it's such a specific family.

Kind of feeling the same way. :/ I'd rather get some of the exciting unused families than strange rehashes of pre-existing ones.

This. I know I keep talking about the same few families, but those slots could've really gone to Kunchong, Pterrorwings, Dread Ravens, Elekk, Kodo (especially with their new models. Could have Mushan and Thunder Lizards too), Sandreavers, etc.

Especially if Scalehide really end up being those basilisk creatures. Then it'll be two redundant families and one actually new family.

All the above for me too. I don't understand why new families need to be created when they could be worked into already existing families.

Kodo /mushan /thunder lizards yes could be their own family since to me they don't really fit in with rhinos and don't fit with yaks. Although the Direhorn family could be adjusted to make room for them.
Sabers really should be in the cat family.
Three headed dogs obviously hydras
Feathered raptors should head into the raptor family.

I would much rather them be grouped with other families then given their own also.

BTW, the model for the new hydra hound thing is named "Guarm". So it still doesn't really give away what kind of thing it is. The feathery raptor model is named Falcosauros. They often don't stick with the model name when naming them in game, but that's all we know so far.

Neat! I don't like the feather raptors at all. They look dumb. I'm all for feathery dinos but... Not like that.

The rest however are AMAZING, I love the wolves and cerby-hydra things

The wolves seem to be similar of color design in the old northrend worgs
I like the black one a lot

I'm a big fan of the cerberus hydra. The feathered raptors are looking really "eh" right now (they don't feel right or something). And I'm with SpiritBinder on the new wolves; the side-facing pupil so it looks like it's looking at you, I guess, is really freaky since predator eyes don't work like that.
