That's a terrible situation to be in, Adam. I'm so sorry you're stuck in it - and that you're not getting more support from your mother. She should know how important children are - she's your mother!

I wish I could rant at my mother sometimes. She's ... beyond that now. She'd just get upset and not know what I was talking about. Makes me wish I'd yelled at her before her brain melted.

i do not have a cold/flu/sickness but the last few days ive been plagued with headaches, anxiety, sweating a lot, extreamly irritable, bored but unable to muster up what tiny bit of energy i currently possess to go out =_= I havent done anything to myself or changed my eating habits to have possibly caused this >.<

I know exactly where you are coming from. At some point, the roles reverse, and elderly parents become more child-like than anything. I will sometimes be a little cross with my mom, and then feel guilty.

Yelling at my mom kinda lead to her not being here anymore.... i was 12 and both parents were smokers, dad told me smoking in the house was bad so i yelled at mom to stop smoking indoors and do it on the balconey, she got all huffy and puffy at me and had a seizure, few days later she was gone I can never bring myself ever to yell at older people even though i would absolutely love to sit them down just like they did when i was young

Xakaal, that was absolutely not your fault.

Mmm-hmm. Her health was obviously poor, and if you making her angry was enough to cause a seizure, then it was only a matter of time anyways. this tragedy could have been triggered by her getting mad at a telemarketer, traffic, an insult... it just so happened that she was angry at you at the time. I can understand you not wanting to forgive yourself, but this isn't so much a cautionary tale as it is a terrible tragedy.

Yea it was her losing the battle to diabetes but how it all played out really left a huge imprint on me, ive only actually been just beginning since last year to accept the reality that my actions resulted in an earlier and startling demise that none of us were expecting. In some ways because she was 98% bedridden or hospitalized i feel kinda better that she stopped suffering but i just wish it happened differently

Not exactly happy that my ex who is friends with my roommate/Buddie is staying overnight to help with computer stuff tomorrow..When I said I was getting used to her being over here I didn't mean that I would be thrilled to find out she is staying overnight...*sigh*

yea, its kinda a hard situation cause you live there and shes there for the night, only situation ive been in where my ex's are around was school or a friends place but not much can be done :/ sorry to hear btw that shes an ex :<

Flex Builder keeps crashing every time I try to load the UI I'm working on in Flash CS3 Professional.

What's a flex builder ?

Flex Builder is a development environment for Flex, which is the buzzword name for AS3, the most recent version of the programming language that's used with Flash - like for Flash games and such. Some of that can be done through the Flash development environment itself, but I'm working on a fairly large Flash RPG on the engine code, so Flex Building gives me a nicer environment for logic code. I was also trying to modify one of the GUI art bits in the Flash environment at the same time because our client changed the name of their game.

And it did it again! Argh! I can get one change made and tested each time I run the damned thing! GRR!

When you find your only full growen bristlenose catfish dead in your fish tank. She was fully growen so about 14cm not a small fish and I have had her 7 years now so I guess it was time.

My friend finally came over and we played the everloving hell out of Silent Hill, but we still couldn't beat it. After a while it's not the monsters that scare you - it's the fact that you have no health drinks, no first aid kits, five Schisms on your butt and one shotgun round. And all of the locks are broken, as they always are in Silent Hill*. But that's not my rant. My rant is the PUZZLES. AAAAGH. The slider puzzle in one of the later rooms in this game was obviously designed by someone who either lost their dog that morning, or had their cheerios literally peed in. That's the only way I can explain the rage that puzzle brought about. We brought my puzzle-loving dad into it and even he couldn't do it, and backing out of the room didn't reset it(no, you have to run out into the hall, down the stairs, into the basement, out of the house, into the street, dodge four monsters and then run back to get it to reset. Of course.).

We had to resort to a walkthrough, and I hate games that make me do that. :(

*but at this part in the game we're not even IN Silent Hill. Oh and you know what the reward for the puzzle is? A map of Silent Hill. FML.

I am going to try this, since I am not happy this morning after my commute. Also just for bats and giggles.

The batty bus system. I wind up at a bus stop 6-7 minutes after a bus was scheduled to arrive, and this was due to another batty bus. It quickly became obvious that I had missed the bus. I then have to wait 45 batty minutes in downtown Seattle on this rainy, windswept and generally batty morning because the next bus was 13 batty minutes late! BATS! All their batty screwups almost amde me late to class this morning. What's even battier, my professor walked in with soaking wet hair because the same batty bus system had batted things up even worse for her, and she had to walk from Ballard to SPU. What a load of bats.

At least they were interesting enough. WW1 is fascinating, and our textbook doesn't try to guard its readers from details in the least. The poem about mustard gas was very interesting, especially when paired with the detailed description of the effects the book gave.
...Poor guys.
