Hm. Despite going to sleep at a normal time, waking up and finding I look like a shelved zombie is rarely a good sign. I actually considered using make-up for once in my life cause I had hugs bags under my eyes and it looked like someone punched my face, it was all sort of purplish. Didn't, cause my make-up knowledge is crummy, and went to school as is. So, one of my classmates ended up asking if I was coping with a hangover. Great.

So, essentially, I was exhausted all day, and now I should go make coffee.

Partner wasn't COMPLETELY useless. I still did most of the work.. But.. At the same time.. She may have been willing to do more. I just got REALLY into it.. Seriously.. should have been a 1-person project.

Also.. I'm so sad that we didn't have enough room for NEARLY all the cool stuff I learned about my order We had Bucerotiformes, or hornbills. I found out all sorts of cool thinks, like they have really interesting nesting behaviours.. and the young development is so cool. I didn't get to fit my favourite little tidbit about that in there

Apparently a tulip virus helped to collapse the irish, or something, economy in the 16th centry.

Also, apparently it's VERY possible to have a banana with seeds. The reason most don't is cause bananas are polyploidy with odd numbers of chromosomes... so they don't divide right to make viable gametes.. But if you had sort of a situation of all the stars aligning.. you oculd get one with seeds.

For the math inclined.. the chance of ONE banana making gametes that are viable is 0.5^11, but you'd need TWO in order to make the banana a banana.

This guy is really freaking clueless... either that.. or totally not interested (tempted to ask now, but it might be a bit odd, maybe later, or tomorrow)... I honestly still haven't felt much of a connection.. but to be honest.. I'm almost that desperate for some contact, heh.

Anyways, roommate was joking with her boyfriend about marrying me cause of the dinner I cooked... And he says "What about (dude they're trying to set me up with)?" ... which... is a bit presumptuous... And I mentioned this to the guy.. no comment other than "sounds like him" o.o Then I mention how she was talking about going to the zoo with her boyfriend tomorrow, and I REALLY want to go to the zoo. So I start going on and on about.. how "I REALLY wanna say bye to the elephants before they move them", and how "I'd do almost anything to see the elephants again before they're gone", etc etc... and.. NADA. It's like.. "come on.. I'm all but asking you to try and arrange a double date ffs..." and.. his response is just "yeah, that sucks " ... ...So... he's either clueless... or... maybe I'm just unwantable, heh.

edit: been calming down for a little bit now.. bf txted good night (he works at 5:30am so he needs a long sleep) so now its just me and my thoughts /sigh

So, just asked the guy what he things about my roommate trying to set us up. The response? "I don't know, I just get annoyed when they ask, you?" ... ... ...

I then went into this long thing about what I'm looking for in a relationship right now (pretty much shot him down, or.. if he takes the hint, maybe he'll get a bit more "aggressive" in his approach). Pretty much saying I'm open to the idea of meeting people, and maybe even being set up with someone, and that while I don't actively participate in a lot of them anymore, I have a LOT of interests that I'd like any future partner to actually ENCOURAGE, (while mentioning friends of all sorts are always welcome). About how I'm not looking for a fling, and that any relationship I do get into at least has to help me learn more about who i am or what I want. How I want someone with some level of confidence, SOMEWHERE at least (I have little in person, but online, I speak my mind at least), and that while i don't wanna move lightning fast, I don't wanna "waste" months on the whole "is he, isn't he, is she, isn't she" stage (which is pretty much where I feel we've been for the last little while).

So.. I still don't know if he's ACTUALLY interested in me.. And honestly, if he doesn't take this as a hint to step it up a notch, then I definitely know I'm done in waiting to see where this goes (I already knew I wasn't overly interested.. but that desperate lonely part was kind of hoping he'd eventually do SOMETHING).

So now I figure I'll step back and see if he tries to continue contact... See if my roommate or her boyfriend say anything else that suggest how this actually went..

I honestly can't tell. All his responses were just "ahhh" ... ... ... Seriously.. I can be a VERY passionate person when it comes to certain things, and interest, I need someone that can show at least a LITTLE about ANYTHING o.o
