Dews- Mt. Coronet

Dews turned, a moment too late. The Avalanche hit the Dewott full force, sending her flying backwards several feet, then buried her under the snow. Dews manged, just before the snow covered her up, the pull her arms up and over her face, so the snow wouldn't suffocate her. Dews closed her eyes, and waited for the rumbling to stop so she could dig herself of the piles of snow that now covered her up.

Ari & Lani
Mt. Coronet

Lani staggered as the ball of light hit her, and she raised a wing to her head. The various sounds of fighting blended together into one annoying, grating noise.
Circe could probably handle Crowley by herself, and Lani decided it would be best to recuperate before trying to attack.

Lani used Heal Bell!

Feeling much better, Lani was about to attack Crowley again, but she heard something. She turned around, seeing snow rush toward her, and fast. "You guys probably want to move." Lani hissed urgently, watching the snow lurch closer.

Seeing the huntail let go of his wing, Ari quickly it back. He lowered his head, bracing himself for Lavi's attack.

Ari used Endure!

Ari suddenly jumped up and shoot over the water, toward Lavi. The pidgeot quickly dived down, trying to peck the huntail. Ari was getting tired from fighting, but he refused to let Lavi beat him.

Ari used Quick Attack!

Crowley and Circe
Mt. Coronet

Crowley caught the upcoming avalanche, thanks to Lani's warning, and unfurled his wings, flapping hard. He lifted up and away from the mountainside, hovering a safe distance above from conflict and incoming snowy wrath. Circe was about to try and shoot him down when the full scale of it all dawned her. She let out a panicked whine, looking at Lani fearfully and hunkering down in the snow to brace for the worst.

Wasabi, Mable, Lavi- Mt. Coronet

"Hurry you stupid thing!!! Or you might never actually prove that your useful!!" With his lighter shell and Improved strength, Wasabi started scampering across the snow at a better then normal speed, but not ideal. He could hear the avalanche getting closer and closer behind him...

Mable let out a very small squeak as Orash grabbed her. He was going very fast. But faster then the avalanche?... She'd have to hang tight for that answer.... Figuritively. She didn't have arms, so it was hard to "hang".

Lavi hissed as the Pidgeot kept pecking at her but then She actually heard something. looking slightly behind her she saw- WHOOOSH. Next she knew, She was covered in snow. She could hardly move! She began to panic. She wouldn't have much time to get out. No no no... no no...

Antares - Mt. Coronet

Antares had wanted to help the others fight, he really had. But his nearly frozen body had kept him from even attempting, and so he had been stuck huddling close to the ground during the majority of the encounter, trying desperately to keep himself from freezing to death. However, when the rumbling sound of the approaching avalanche hit his ears, the Espeon knew that perhaps staying in one spot was not exactly ideal.

Forcing himself to his paws, he turned, if painfully slowly, and began to move away, cursing his limbs as they flat out refused to obey him. He hissed, a white light forming around his paws in an absolute desperate attempt to escape the oncoming-all-too-fast snow.

Antares used Quick Attack!

Ari & Lani
Mt. Coronet

Ari took off, flying away from the snow that was rushing toward him, and trying his best to ignore the pain in his wing. He managed to fly far enough to avoid the avalanche, perching on a craggy outcropping of rock. The pidgeot briefly contemplated helping the other Champions out of the snow, but concluded that if they couldn't escape the snowslide by themselves, then they were of no use to him - or Arceus.
Ari instead decided to use the time to recover, and tucked his head into the feathers on his back.

Ari used Rest!

Lani ran forward, flapping her wings. She lifted into the air, flying forward for a short distance, before turning around and flying back to Circe. Lani reached down to grab Circe, and silently pleaded that she would be able to carry the zapeon to safety.

Crowley
Mt. Coronet

Arceus be damned, he was going soft. Most of the others he recognized had seemed to have relative ease in escaping--Wasabi was making his way rapidly down the mountain, Ari had taken off--except that damned espeon hybrid. He had heard of cold getting to people that badly, freezing their joints. The avalanche would probably kill the Blessed if it hit him. Crowley let out a sigh, he had exactly no time to sit there and ponder. He swooped down, running alongside the espeon, his body radiating heat from his patron's blessing. He used a considerable amount of energy to place a shield around the espeon, slowing down some--it would absorb the majority of the avalanche's impact, if and when it hit. Reshiram, he was such an idiot.

Crowley used Protect!

---

Circe
Mt. Coronet

The zapeon blinked as she felt herself lifted off. She gave a sigh, grateful for Lani's aid. "Thank you!" She called back up to the altaria, trying to keep as still as possible and make the altaria's flight easier. She didn't want to accidentally send them back to the ground. As she hung there, she quietly cursed Zapdos' short sighted efforts in not giving her wings.

Orash, Ardor
Mount Coronet

Orash yet out a yelp as the avalanche had caught his legs and long tail was eaten by the avalanche, it kept going until it stopped at his torso. He released his grasp of Mabel and layed, his legs and tail under heavy snow

Ardor managed to make it to safety, like Ari she flew far away from the avalanche watching who was consumed by the snowy terror and who wasn't. She frowned as she saw that Wasabi seemed to make it

Irsa
Mount Coronet

Irsa shrieked as she was consumed by the snow- She was far too slow to escape it. She lay, feeling the cold overtaking her body, she would probably be near death. She knew it, she had been there once before and if she hadn't... No! she stopped thinking about it and hugged herself as much as she could waiting for the worse, hopefully her allies would notice her missing
maybe she could rescue her?

Wasabi, Mable, Lavi-Mt coronet

Wasabi kept going, When Suddenly a wave of snow washed over him. He Closed his eyes, Bracing himself for the weight of the snow... but it only covered a small bit of he shell. He glanced back. He had made it. getting only covered by one to two inches of snow. This... was obviously not a natural avalanche. It would have been much bigger otherwise.

... Probably.

"Orash! are you alright!?" Mable hovered next to him, Slightly worried. "Don't Freeze!!! Please?" She floated around him nervously.

Lavi tried to move, but she was stuck fast. How much snow was she under? Inches? FEET? She couldn't breathe for too much longer either, if she didn't Freeze first. Just wait, the one time in her life that She actually needed someone's help, it wouldn't come, right? Right. Her tail felt numb from cold, and she was starting to feel dizzy. She wiggled her tailtip, which just under the snow, unknowing of the actual effect that it had from the numbness.

Antares - Mt. Coronet

It was no use. Antares hissed at himself furiously. There was no way he was outrunning this avalanche, not like this. He was going too slow, far too slow. His ears flattened as the rumbling got closer. He was running out of time.. And not even the Quick Attack had helped, his limbs just refused to work right.

And then Crowley was suddenly beside him, the Umbreon's mere presence warming the immediate area, which was a relief to Antares. However, the Espeon was so focused on the other Blessed, that he wasn't able to stop himself from tripping over a rock as his paw snagged on it, sending him tumbling to the ground. He winced, a twinge of panic running through him, only to be swept away as he noticed the Protect set up by Crowley. He only hoped the energy shield would hold against the snow.

Rook - Mt. Coronet

Rook snarled again in response to the second roar, reason starting to win out over instinct once more. Her ears swivelled in response to the sound, trying to pinpoint where it was that the echo originated from and whether or not the pokemon causing such a rukis were a threat.
But then, another sound interrupted her thoughts. A slow, distant rumbling; deep and powerful.

Rook was born and raised in an area quite different from this snowy landscape and, being a solitary wild pokemon that was not prone to wandering, she never learned of the hazards not found in her prior home. Back in the fields and woodlands she knew well, the biggest danger one was likely to face, outside of other pokemon or an inquisitive trainer, was a thunderstorm. Maybe an earthquake once every blue moon, but those were never much of an issue.
In a way, the distant sound reminded the blind Lucario of an earthquake -she could certainly feel the rock beneath her paws shuddering with the might of whatever was awoken- but it was more prolonged. Around her, she sensed the other fleeing and crying out in fright. Not knowing what else to do against this new foe, Rook fled along with them.

And then, the full force of the mountain was brought down upon her.

Rook yelped as the force of the avalanche bore down upon her, throwing her around like she were a stick in the jaws of an over-exuberant pup. She was thrown against an outcropping of rocks with a forceful thud, then was quickly smothered with a flurry of snow. (Upon retrospect of this moment, the Lucario would be grateful that the avalanche had not thrown her off the side of the cliff, where the resulting fall would have likely killed her)
She struggled to move, but the snow was forcing her against the rock as it surged down the mountainside. She'd have to sit and wait for it to pass before she could do anything. Through the snow, she could barely hear others struggling. Nearby, she could sense the Aura of Irsa, also struggling against the snowy torrent.

Finally, the pressure relented somewhat, and whilst the Lucario could barely breathe, she no-longer felt like she was being battered up against the rocks behind her. Part of her wanted to remain here and surrender to the darkness that swam at the edge of her vision. With a groan, she pushed that desire away, flattening her fore-paws against the rock. She needed to get out of here.
Parts of her fur slowly started to glow red and an unnatural heat began to emanate from Rook. Reshiram's blessing came in handy for more than just fighting. The snow around her rapidly began to melt; she took in a great gulp of air once her head was free from the suffocating snow. Sore and tired, she began to push her way towards the trapped Purrloin, hoping that she'd be able to get Isra out soon.

Crowley
Mt. Coronet

There wasn't anymore time to try and take off, he'd lift off and the snow would end up taking him anyways. And he was tired. Very, very tired at this point. He threw a small protect on himself, and braced himself for the worst, flinging his wings in front of him as a shield. Snow barreled over him, and then everything became a painfully blinding white and cold as the snow covered him. He couldn't hear or smell anything in the damp, wet cold. Similar to Rook, Reshiram's blessing came through in which heat blazed from his fur, making him sick and dizzy from overheating but still melting away the snow without any sort of issue. He dragged himself out of the wet with a bit of a grumble.

Shaking the snow out of his fur, he looked at what was left of the battle. Snow covered everything, in a sort of shockingly white blanket. The umbreon stood out like a sore thumb, his black and red hide contrasting against the snow. He continued looking, when he realized people were still buried under. "Anyone out there?" He called. There was only white. So much white. He let out an uneasy hiss.

Ari & Lani
Mt. Coronet

Once she had reached a safe distance, Lani flew lower, dropping Circe as gently as she could before collapsing dramatically in the snow, groaning in frustration. First she had to fight a Champion, then she had to outrun -or outfly- an avalanche, what next? At this point, she wouldn't be surprised if a wailord dropped out of the sky and crushed her.

Ari looked up, seeing that some of his companions had escaped the avalanche. It seemed they weren't all completely useless after all. Ari flew over to Crowley, landing next to him. "I do not think that avalanche was natural." the pidgeot said, before continuing "The snow is fairly sturdy here, surely it would not just start like that..."
Ari hopped around restlessly, obviously anxious. The avalanche must have been caused intentionally, and Ari had heard roaring when it started. At the moment the bird wanted nothing more than to make whoever started the avalanche pay.

Haro and Maximus, Mt. Coronet

((Excuse this rather short and ugly post, I want to get myself involved and stop stalling due to first-post intimidation.))

Haro stared in shock at the wave of crushing snow, balancing mountain-goat like on a rocky outcropping. Had he moved but a few yards further, he would have been caught in it. This wasn't a trap, was it? Giratina had sent him, like the others, to this mountain. He wouldn't betray them, that was… ridiculous, impossible. Was it the work of the followers of Arceus? He huffed nervously, edging back on his rock. Were there champions here? Arceus's champions? He knew that fighting was going to happen, but he had been conveniently ignoring the reality of it until now. What if people were hurt? His new allies could be in that snow, freezing…

There was one pokémon in sight, its huge blue wings hard to miss against the dirty, tumbled snow. What was that, exactly? A very strange pidgeot? Either way, someone who looked exhausted. The snow had settled; he picked his way down off the rocks, taking a tentative step forward. Instantly his hoof sunk several feet into the snow and he found his snout buried. Right… Snow. Not his favorite thing to walk on. Wincing and steeling himself, he felt for stronger snow and dragged himself up, moving carefully towards the big blue bird- and the yellow thing he hadn't seen before.

"Ah, are you alright?" Like he could help. Sawsbuck: also known as the completely useless deer. He clenched his jaw, shaking his head only to stagger and nearly sink into the snow again. "What happened, how can I help?"

--

Maximus was getting a littler more worried as he swooped towards the mountain's summit. He was already a little bit late, and he could have sworn he'd heard a roar- and then… a lot more roaring, but not of the creature-made sort. The rolling waves of snow had told him enough. Thank Arceus for wings! He circled above the raging snow, smiling ever so slightly despite himself. He had to admit, seeing that sort of natural power was amazing, and the snow being thrown into the air was tingling on his wings. This was kind of- what in Arceus' name was Ari doing here?!

"Ari?" the Meowth called out, circling again before skidding to land before the Pidgeot. "What are you doing here? Look at this mess! Good to see you alive and flapping, at least. And, uh…" He looked around. There were others, all with just as odd shapes as he and Ari. More blessed, then. The gathering had really happened. He'd almost forgot about that when he'd seen the avalanche. "Everyone else. Friends?"

Ardor, Orash
Mt. Coronet

Orash smiled "Oh don't worry mabel! I have a loud noisy friends that just so happens to be a fire type" With that said Ardor came flying down with his buttface "You haven't changed my face yet for scouting!" The zubat yelled at her friend "And what the heck your stuck in snow?? and whos this shiny koffing?? are you dating her, what the heck Orash you didn't tell me your an a$$&*^&" With that the zubat landed on the snow, the spots on his back glowed slightly and the snow quickly started melting.
The steam raised up creating a white fog, this would of course disappear quickly
Thanks Celebi she didn't use flamethrower! The Smeargle blushed a bit and smiled "Oh! of course not! but she was helping me keep warm" The smeargle looked back "Speaking of which are you injured? My paint is now leaking again for awhile, it can heal things Y'know" Ardor watched all with an unhappy aura around her "What about my scary face!!???" She shouted again
"Be patient Ardor, it will happen but I can draw on you any time as opposed to healing someone"
"Fine."

Irsa
Mt. Coronet

Irsa just huddled to herself, her body now numb with cold. Until she had heard footsteps coming towards her from above
help?
The Cat yelled for help, getting a small amount of snow in her still warm mouth. She winced, yelling was probably useless, it was probably getting muffled by the snow. Instead she tried to move whatever she could, hoping to make a bit of a scene, above at least.

Rook - Mt. Coronet

Others were starting to rouse, if Rook's ears were to be believed. But then, they were still ringing from the snow roaring atop of her, so she wasn't sure if she imagined those wingbeats or not. Either way, it wasn't important right now, she was standing right above irsa now, if her Aura sense hadn't failed her. Her paws still radiating heat, Rook knelt down to better aid her efforts at trying to free the purrloin, her paws starting to scratch and dig through the snow. She could sense Lavi now as well, the huntail just on the edge of her sense. He'd have to dig him up next, hopefully he'd be able to live that long.
She was close to Irsa now, the snow was beginning to move about thanks to the cat-like pokemon's struggles. Rook continued to dig, hoping that she would break through soon.

Crowley and Circe
Mt. Coronet

Circe peered at Haro suspiciously, tilting her head. Who was he? She paused, flicking her attention back to Lani and nudging her. "Are you okay? Thank you for getting me out of there, I wouldn't have liked to drown in the snow." She let out a quiet purr of gratitude, ears pricked as she peered down at the large bird-dragon. She looked back towards Haro, shaking her head. "I dunno. There was a roar...and then a bunch of snow. And everything. It was scary."

---

Crowley
Mt. Coronet

The umbreon startled at the sound of a new voice, immediately bristling. His legs were aching and his head hurt, but he was willing to put up another fight if it was called fo--wait. "You know this guy?" Crowley turned, peering at Ari warily. After the snow, things were confusing, and there was always the potential one of them was working for Giratina...and he had never seen this Maximus before. Besides, he was outnumbered if there was trouble. He watched the two suspiciously, suppressing a growl.

Wasabi, Mable, Lavi- Mt coronet

Wasabi Pulled himself out of the snow, Shaking his head a little to get the snow off of it. Dang it, today was horrible. Just plain horrible. He brushed a bit of snow off of his shell and looks around. who hadn't made it out?

Mable Giggled when she saw Ardor. "Oh yes! you! With the Drawing of the Butt on your face!" She giggled again. "I'm Mable. Orash has said a bit about you, I believe."

Lavi was running out of air. Feeling slightly dizzy.. She started to writhe slightly, trying to get out of the situation she was in. Harder then it sounded. She didn't have much time left, and snow was getting into her nose. That's it. good bye everything. The unlikely hope that someone were to save her was dwindling. Thanks a ton..... Whatever.. their face was... Her vision started to blur.

Lani & Ari
Mt. Coronet

"No problem, kid." Lani replied, smiling at Circe. The dragon-bird stood up, shaking the snow off of her feathers, and turned to Haro. She frowned, sure she had seen the sawsbuck before somewhere. Lani had seen a lot of sawsbuck before, and she couldn't really remember them very well, but for some reason she remembered that sawsbuck. Lani was distracted from her thoughts when Haro spoke up
"We're okay now. There was an avalanche and..." she said, briefly glancing behind her at the aftermath of the avalanche before a wave of realization hit her "Oh sh- our friends are still trapped in there!"

Ari heard his name called, though as far as he knew the only one here that knew his name was Crowley. But if that was the case, who was calling his name? He turned around to see a familiar looking meowth. Not that it would be easy to forget a meowth with wings. Nonetheless, it was a pleasant surprise. "Maximus!" Ari chirped, nodding in greeting "My Patron sent me to find Arceus. And... there was an avalanche. Regardless, it is nice to see you are well."
Ari glanced at Crowley, before looking back to Max. "Of course we are." the bird answered.

((So my brain managed to butcher Lupis' post. Because I thought Max said 'Who's everyone else' instead of 'Everyone else'. So uh, sorry about that.))

Haro and Maximus, Mt. Coronet

Haro flattened his ears back, skittering back a few steps as Lani came to a sudden realization. Right! If people were on top the snow, there were some under the snow, too. Think, Haro, don't just walk and talk… Did that mean he could be standing on frozen pokémon? That wasn't a good thought to think, now all his fur wanted to stand on end. He shuddered, ducking his head to the ground. Listening. Listening. The sound of movement was there, at least. Just… muddled, lost. "O-oh, I'll help! I have good ears. And I'm… sensitive to life?" How did you explain that, anyway? Sensitive to life. He sounded insane. Good job, Haro. But he was blessed by Virizion, he was born a Sawsbuck. He did have some sort of "sense" for life.

Speaking of life… Something was closer than he thought, struggling. Or it had been struggling, but it was fading. He moved towards it slowly, head bowed until he looked up at the others. "Over here, someone, I think." He pawed at the ground above Lavi.

--

Max nodded, looking around. "So I saw, glad you're out alright." He looked to Crowley and smiled, waving a paw. "Another pokémon that's not supposed to have wings! I'm Maximus, as Ari said. He taught me how to fly, which was probably a massive undertaking. Meowth have no place in the air." The Umbreon looked a bit defensive, but that was acceptable. After all, there'd just been an avalanche. Hopefully he could earn the champion's trust, being angry and hissy all the time could not be a fun way to live. …Avalanche, Maximus. Remember the avalanche. Right.

((Hahaa, no worries. I was wondering how Ari got so cold so suddenly. xD))
