ah very nice. I have been kind of hot and cold when it comes to the new wolves but this one I truly do like. the armor kind of hides the massive shoulder fluff that the other have which is the main thing that bothered me.

I think the worg/direwolf skeleton in general makes the huge artichoke fur look less massive, as opposed to the coyote skeleton. I've seen the helmet-less wolf mount as well in game and it still looks great. Wish we got a few wild, armor-less/saddle-less direwolves in addition to the "coyotes". :( Their broken run doesn't even look too bad on these models, for some reason.

Gotta say, with addition of stags (wondering how many we'll get added in that family) the clefthooves, and all the prior pets for WoD, it's feeling now like a real beginning of expansion set for hunter pets.

Glad I'm not the only one.

So far..

Old world stags
Pandaren stags
Old talbuks
New talbuks
Gazelles

And I'd be surprised if the reindeers/caribous didn't become tameable as well.

Yep, not asking Muffinus for anything else at this point. (still hoping the discussion about gyreworms pans out, but he's already responded about that one).

I wonder if Shoveltusks would go with stags or rhinos?

I will still ask him, but not because I am unhappy with everything we got so far, because it's been absolutely amazing. But because perhaps through reminding him of some beasts, or suggesting them, with a proper family name, or a proper family to fit into, he'll be like "hey, that makes sense", and add them. I am not going to go "agh we didn't get enough", but I am still gonna suggest and ask stuff. :)

I wanted to ask Muffinus, but I'll wait. They seem more like goats than anything to me, though.

Giraffes, yaks and shoveltusks, it looks like those will be left. Yaks will probably be part of their own family if they ever become tameable, and shoveltusks could fit goats, no? I wonder...

Honestly, not to sound greedy with all we've got.. but there really is no reason to NOT have giraffes, yaks and shoveltusks as new additions. We're getting clefthooves after all, which really aren't that different from yaks and shoveltusks size wise. And giraffes can be shrunk down to a size where they aren't towering above everything.

All I can really think of that shouldn't be tamable are elekks due to size (they can be shrunk down, but a tiny elekk is pretty comical), aquatic pets (even though there are work arounds, like bubbles, it just seems kind of odd) and of course dragons. Oh and baby animals would be odd. Might be forgetting some though.

Still crossing my fingers for pterrorwings.

I think Elekks (and mammoths) could fit just fine. There are smaller kinds. But they'd need a new family, and that's something for later.

I suppose so, but I'm just imagining a really small elekk that would just look more ridiculous than anything xD

I sorta don't ever see giraffes making it in, sadly :/ Though yaks and shoveltusks I believe is just a matter of time.

EDIT: But yeah, pretty happy we're finally seeing some vindication on the hooved beast front :)

Not -really- small. Devilsaurs are quite large, still. In fact, yes, look at devilsaurs: huge. Shrink to a more manageable size. Same for hydras. They don't look ridiculous. Elekks (and mammoths) can still be quite large. Just not.. y'know.. EXTREMELY SO.

It's just a matter of waiting, Loki! And if not, you can always ask Muffinus. I can't guarantee that he'll give you a positive answer, or an answer right away at all (quite busy), but he's a cool guy, and open to suggestions if you have any! :)

Yeah, another time. Considering how long this community has wanted stags, and hydras.. did ya'll forget about the hydras?

I think i saw him say that he felt like shoveltusks may be closer to the boar family?
didn't pay much attention to it since they are not my thing. I'm all for the stags and hydras. ;)

Mhm yeah Stags have been on my wishlist since Vanilla (although I'm more take-it-or-leave-it on hydras) xD Stags AND Talbuks in one go def. satisfies me for this expansion :)

I suppose you're right; if they do make them tamable guess we'll just have to see how small they really are. Not sure if I'd tame one though.
