Has lost respect for a friend and hand hurts like hell from spending 4 hours drawing 2 pages of one exhibit for my school project. Ive made the wolf one, but i still gotta make several bird exhibits, a beavers, a porcupines, a bears, a cougars, a raccoons, the map location of the zoo, the human area of the zoo that has the administration/first aid/food. I also gotta make pages for each of the different areas that these exhibits are apart of the zoo as well as the inner building layout for the building that's housing the birds and the interactive center.. ugh.. this is going to be hell in a handbag.. and these are just north american animals. I culled my plans down tremendously from my original idea and im probably gonna have to cull it further. I might just exhibit the large animals and exclude the birds since they alone will make up about a quarter of the pages i need to draw for the full zoo due to a huge variety of species that cannot be housed together like eagles and osprey and ravens.

Sounds like a mighty interesting project though, would love to see the result!

I've never heard of Hunger Games in my life. This reminds me of how a lot of people think wow is ripping off Kung fu panda... when it's not.

My rant today is, I'm fed up losing rolls in DS LFR. Yeah I know everyone has had this problem somewhere down the line but it's getting annoying. It also takes the piss when nothing for hunter in terms of shoulder and leg drops (both of which I really need) then when the chest drops 2 of them drop and I already have it.

Another thing is Karazhan. THREE weeks in a row now the event has been the Romeo and Juliet based one. I do this raid for just 2 reasons, the mount and the gun that drops from the big bad wolf. I'm very close to exalted with The Violet Eye from so many runs through there! FTR I've been running it for more than 3 weeks, it's just irritating when I've not been able to have a chance at the gun dropping because of the wrong boss showing up so much. To add, the event before the first of these 3 was the Wizard of oz one too. -.-

I nearly died of a heart attack. I was playing with a shoelace with Janie and one of her teeth fell out. TOTALLY SPAZZING. I ran to my computer and googled around and looked at images of kitten's and cats mouths and shes apparently losing her milk teeth now. her right side of the upper jaw has no tooth behind her main canine tooth but her left one has a bloody hole where this tooth popped out. Thank Malorne that i didnt rip a tooth out playing with her with a shoelace. I thought i ripped a canine out by accident.

Lol, it makes me laugh and facepalm that people go on like that. Im sure in MoP there will be easter eggs, references, and most probably NPC's with names of some of the characters and possibly some quests mirroring something that has happened in either movie but the pandarens and their original concept about themselves and their culture is long before Kung Fu Panda. I can see people exploding more tho when it does go live and these little easter eggs and references are hidden throughout the zones but eh, i'll just put them on ignore rofl XD And i cant believe its quarter to 9.. where did my day go.. ._.

Technically yeah, Chen came first - so if there has to be an "owner" there, Blizzard is it. But speaking more generally, I think both (Blizzard and Dreamworks) are now kind of "leap frogging" the idea; Blizzard put the idea out there in a bare bones form, Dreamworks breathed a whole lot of life into it, and now Blizzard is "borrowing it back" as MoP, incorporating a great deal of the look and feel of KFP. And frankly everyone wins.

Also... although nowadays many (not restricted to any site) treat Pandaren as a sort of foregone conclusion, it's important to remember they in fact were anything but - even after the trademark was announced, tons of people (the vast majority as I recall) refused to believe Pandaren would ever appear in the MMO, the point being, that I don't think it's much of a stretch to say that without KFP as a motivator, MoP very well could have remained on the shelf.

Bottom line I love them both - love the movies, can't wait to see more, and very much looking forward to MoP as well.

I like KFP too but I doubt it would've remained on the shelf. The 'kung fu' was there with Chen. He's a Brewmaster(in both ways). I knew plenty of people who wanted Pandarens to appear in WoW. I'm pretty confident Blizz had all this from the very start but Pandaren werent well known. I'm sure KFP might have had some influence later but not that much.

So I had a convo in my head that went like this:

Me: Hey that could be fun! but lets try something differnt first something odd but easy. But what?
Me: Rockflayers! they need love!
Me: Okay sounds cool!

10 mins later I've got 18 plus rockflayer skins and I've just reached the crystal skins........

Heh I might drive myself mad thinking about what to do with them seeing as I just found out the Rockflayerelite skin (the spiney ones) have all the same skin colours as the normal ones. Don't know if I should draw them all (like 19ish skins each) or just 3 skins 1 normal,crystal and elite. XD

Ugh holy freaking god theres a lvl 85 sporting taerecgosa's drake form flying following me all over blasted lands and while yes im too high lvled to get exp from the rares and thus killing them for loots, shes killing them before i can.

Least i tamed grunter the few seconds it took me to fly over to his area from the portal when i did. Saved him from dying at least and now i have a new tanking pet. And holy crap theres 19 skins per flayer model?

Edit: Oh wow.. the one sphere i did get from Ravager when i flew by him gave me a ring called Cassandra's Grace. Cassandra was my mom's name and my name is Grace.

yeah 19 skins for the normal and elite ones but not cyrstal I can only find 1 skin for them O.o

I might be blind but is there no model for Worgen and Troll Moonkin forms? They just use the Cow and elf ones? Yeah I know they baby ones only come in elf and cow forms but oh my. (Only has a night elf druid does not look at others )

Troll uses the red/black moonkin form with antlers, worgen uses the greyish purple/blue with antlers, tauren are the only ones with water buffalo horns

I totally agree cow. WMV doesnt show things properly and some things dont show at all.. Wain tried to teach me how to use MPQ Editor but just when i think i got it figured out it throws a wrench into the whole thing. I just cant figure out how to get past it. Been so long now too i completely forget step one XD Im sure if i was to be run through it again id remember but i cant get past the one stage that should be the final step

yeah it's sure a pain but there was good in it I did find theres 3 fire versions of the Ravenlord mount that I did not know off! Might have to draw those now

Oh MoP *should have* been released much sooner; and yes there was a huge demand for it from the very beginning (including me). So why did things like werewolves, blood elves and everything else under the sun that hops, crawls or flops come first? Simple - panda fans were by and large a softspoken majority. It's much easier to go off about PVP, dungeons, raids or lore than to get heated up about wanting to see... pandas. I have no doubt that Blizz had a few early plans for it, but shelved them (they've probably got libraries worth of specs on things 90% of which will never see the light of day...).

Pandaren weren't *supposed* to be popular - they were thought of by Blizz exactly the same, and for the exact same purpose, as playable wisps - e.g. an April Fool's prank. Since WC3 I think most at Blizzard (at least openly) preferred to think of Pandaren as kind of an embarrassing phase they went through, and nothing more. And for a while there was no need to revisit that. But then they lost 20% of their subscriber base, and they had to start admitting that the same old thing might no longer be working.

At that point, without KFP having been around, MoP *might* still have happened. But I doubt it - the fact it had sat for so long suggests there was just too much willful blindness going on behind the scenes. I mean for one thing we would have heard them talking about it at least to the extent of conclusively squashing that stupid rumor about Chinese panda laws and such. But no, nothing.

But KFP1 had now been out for 3 years as a proven smash hit... and KFP2 had just come out in May 26 2011, erasing any remaining doubt about whether the concept had staying power. Then just 2 months later Blizzard submits a trademark application for MoP. Could be a coincidence, but I doubt it. Again none of this is to say or even hint that Blizzard is "copying" or doing anything wrong - as I said, Chen is their baby, and they are the ones who got the whole thing rolling, so hey - good on them. But I definitely think there's extremely strong evidence that KFP's success was (at least a partial) catalyst, and that MoP was at least partly a matter of staying ahead of the curve (i.e. eventually they got sick of watching Dreamworks eat their lunch, and decided to get back in on the panda thing - and about time too!).

Either way, chicken/egg speculation aside, I'm happy to have both.
