I've been trying to farm the mobs around Gara thinking maybe there's an uncommon drop, but nothing yet... And Muffinus did say by the time we'd tame her we'd feel connected, or something along those lines right? A grind to get a item doesn't seem like the right way to go about that, so I'm doubtful.

It's just that lantern.. We'll probably find it and it'll be nothing but it's really bugging me.

And do all shadowmoon orc banners have that? Should check the banners in Shaz'ghoul as that might just be their design.

Also Gara is classified as undead not a beast. I know because when i put on track undead I can see her on the map, but if I do track beasts she doesnt appear. Maybe something we do brings Gara partially back to life? Or maybe we trigger something that accidently starts to turn Gara into a void wolf.

Yes Dark - but as my edit shows - maybe the lower level area should be first on list for numerous reasons -

- like I said above in my edit - it is attached to burial grounds with a road
- it would coincide with Mother O being lower level

You know, Exile's Rise in SMV has some orcs there. Shadowmoon orc exiles, no? Maybe worth checking into... with and without berries? I'll take a look when I can.. They're neutral, by the way.

I am thinking that something happens along those lines. The original thing Muffinus teased us with was that there would be a void wolf you could "save" from becoming an aberration.

It may be kind of cheating to think this way, but there are other versions of Gara in the database where she's a tameable spirit wolf. That suggests something will turn her

So I went to Exile's rise, checked out all of the orcs there and the surrounding area.. The new chieftain of the Shadowmoon clan is there (ex-wife of Ner'zhoul apparently). Maybe Om'ra is her ancestor? But dead end there. And I thought I had something when I found a cave beneath the rise with a "Shadowmoon exile's treasure" inside. And I got even more excited when I saw hunters were mentioned and how it details the effects the moon and stars have on the plants & animals there... but nothing. Just resources, like it says.




Edit: There are also hostile Shadowmoon orcs in Arbor glen near Embari. Doubt theres anything there, can't think of anything. But I'm trying to name off every single area with the SM orcs as there could be a lead in one of them. Shaz'ghoul, the Anguish fortress and the level 100 area are the three "main" areas though for sure.

I'm not fully up on Shadowmoon lore, but the moon is mentioned a lot in this zone, and in that one quest where you get the rubbings in the burial grounds. Maybe the day/night cycle plays a part.

Hmm I don't know - I didn't think about if the time of day (in-game) would play a part, seeing as the day and night cycle is such a big thing in SMV. But that seems a bit far-fetched. Especially considering it'd make it a huge pain for those who have limited play time, and might not be able to play at the right time, even with the accelerated night & day cycles.

Edit: That said with all of us Petopians hunting for clues I'd think we'd all have covered both night & day xD

In Shadowmoon dungeon I saw something with moon phases and stuff - but nothing else - flavor

Went over the level 90 void wolf area - only thing interesting was the pumpkin patch. Pumpkins give a buff only (no item) but it only lasts for 30 sec - not nearly enough time to get close to Gara or the burial grounds.

Also - when you agro the elephants near Gara (burial grounds) and let them get close to you they give you a haunted debuff - but that didn't do anything either.

Then I got completely smashed with shadowmoon themed drinks and ate food - I got smashed and that's about all.

I am nearing the give up phase. Probably spending too much time on it myself - need to do some other stuff and let some fresh players have at it. Really wish we could find that stupid lantern though and take that out of the equation.

oh yeah - and the owls don't give a buff or anything but they make sparkles - which showered down on Gara - and did -

Muffinus says it's not broken and everything is fully implemented. Could he be mistaken? Sure he's a dev, but perhaps there was a snag somewhere on the tech side of things that he isn't aware of?

The community is literally grasping at straws here. We've tried everything. Something has got to give.

Is it possible it requires a rare drop of some sort? If so people could be getting frustrated trying to think of something when it's simply not possible until they see the item. Maybe there's reason to believe this isn't the case, but just wondering if it is... :/

Been poking around looking for newly added items that may have even the slightest hope of being connected. I'm not in beta so i don't know anything about these items- they just sound interesting to an outsider and since everyone is grasping at straws anyway i figured it wouldn't hurt to mention- even though most of these are a long shot. sorry if these have already been tested.

suggestions about berries:
I'm not go to read through the whole thread again, we have tried eating said berries after she looks at us right?
anyone looked for any recipe that may use them?

at this point i'm too tired to bother looking it up myself but can anyone remember if there are any kind of trinkets/items ect that would transform you into your npc target? maybe if we can look like someone she knows, be it orc or beast, we will get a reaction out of her.
