People in alpha, what's your opinion on BM?

Definitely going MM this expansion like most of you. I guess it's fine, I've been MM for raiding in WoD anyways, and I was always one of those who wanted a bow for our artifact since the beginning. At least the spec isn't forced to be pet-less now.

But I did love the idea of Hati, and I liked being a beastmaster. But they really did tear the spec apart. Maybe some things will change in a later patch, maybe it'll at least be salvaged next expansion... but for now it's just depressing.

...but since I'm staying MM, I'm gonna have this incredibly elfy bow the whole time instead of being the only race (save gobbos) that the damn BM artifact looks even approximately right with.

Rhyela's been SV for most of WoD, so I'll probably just stick with that and poke things in the face alongside my ol' buddy Tetsusaiga come Legion. Should be interesting, to say the least.

I'll be sticking to it on my hunter who's an engineer. I plan to tame all the mechanicals and glyph Dire Beast to summon those as much as possible. That will be awesome! My main hunter will switch to SV though because I really like the new version of it. I'll go MM on my blood elf hunter though, the bow will fit very well with her.

I'll still give it a chance before officially picking Surv as my second spec because as I mentioned before, I really do like the idea of Hati and having two pets out at once. BM has been my go-to spec for as long as I can remember except when I had to switch for raids, so it does bum me out. But nothing I can do but roll with the changes, I guess.

Even though I dislike the idea of Hati, and it's implementation, I'm going to stick with BM on Xota. How much I play her remains to be seen. If she doesn't pull decent dps, then I'll end up taking a different alt when I'm not tanking.

I'm definitely going to have to stick with BM on Veph, no matter the cost, because it's the only spec she's ever been and I couldn't play her if I couldn't have Skorn.

But I'm looking forward to trying both MM and SV on my other hunters, and depending on how BM feels I may make my MM hunter my raiding/dungeon main for the expansion. We'll see.

Dang, you're all making me feel like a traitor now. I guess it helps that my favorite pet isn't exotic, and I genuinely enjoy SV anyway. I consider myself BM at heart, but sometimes I take a break from it to try other things.

I'm legitimately really interested in the new SV. I don't mind being melee (I did main a warrior through wrath and have kept up with fury madness ever since), I just always lapse back to hunter 'cause in this day and age of So Much Crap On The Floor Let's Do The Time Warp Again in raids, it's just EASIER.

Personally though, I'm glad to see others will be running BM still I thought for a moment there I'd be alone with Hati, lol! I've played all 3 specs in the Beta and by far, BM is still the best in my eyes and its still my favorite spec. Gutted or not, my Hunter is a beastmaster.

I might work on SV as an alt spec just for screwing around for completion's sake, but I wasn't impressed really with it in Beta. SV and melee is interesting, but IDK. When I want to play melee, I have my enhance shammy or feral druid for that feel. SV felt very... spammy.
