It also made me exclaim outloud, causing my little brother to look at me like I was crazy.

Okay, back from vacation, and boy am I surprised. Half way through, I get a text from my mom (Both parents are avid WoW players. It's awesome.) informing me she got in Beta. Seeing as she can't transfer it to me, she's letting me play her Beta, make chars, etc. She's transferring her level 70 hunter over so I can throw in my lot on the hunter taming pet "Can I tame this" spree. I'll be able to do likely most of Outland (The skies should be safe, right?), as well all of under Azeroth 80, and, depending if the skies are clean, various 80+ zones.

So, yeah. I'm in Beta! WHOO!

Ironically, though...It was also the day before her birthday. I'd say that's the best birthday present ever.
