I know how you feel Nef, I am constantly feeling uncomfortable about my dragon clutter. And I hate having the hatchlings I don't want/need lingering about in there, taking up space. But I have no desire to exalt them either. They really need to do something about the economy. Either make exalting more lucrative or make special gene and breed scrolls less expensive, so it doesn't feel like you've been ripped off when you sell a dragon for 10K.

Im feeling with you Nef.. trying to weed out my dragons now.. which is harder then i thought.. im trying to keep a list

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to expand my lair again soon. I only have four spots left, and I have a two egg nest hatching in a few days... as well as breeding Vrinde and Myriad. I've also got Celesta about to breed, but she's going over to my friend's lair.

I gotta sell me some babies. :/

So I finagled a trade for this lady:

But I have questions. First, if I breed her with an ungened male will I have ANY chance of the hatchlings showing the gene, or is it 50/50, or do I have to find another gened mate.

Second, if I want to breed her with an 'outside' male, do I need to actually trade her off or how does that work?

i got a male mirror with stribes on his wings you can breed her with if you want? that might be saver then someone you dont know?


he is still a hatchling but i would not mind stribe winged babies

not sure if you like the look of him ; but if you do your free to use him for breeding; 11 days cd though.

I don't think I could get ridd of any of my brood, I guess if I had to I suppose I could sell Falkor my wildclaw hatchie and keep his parents, his two brothers have been reserved.
Cassidy is another I could sell if I had to, parentless guardian male with sky primary and slate secondary.

From their encyclopedia:
Genes are passed down to offspring by inheritance from their mother and father, and each type of gene has several rarity levels that dictate their chance of being exhibited in future generations. Pairing rarer genes with more common genes will always result in a higher probability of the more common gene being passed on.

Example: Harold is pairing two dragons that have Basic and Tiger primary genes respectively. The Tiger primary gene would have an unlikely chance of being passed down due to its high rarity. However, if both parents exhibited the Tiger gene, the chance of it being shown in the offspring is 100%.

Genes are only inherited from the mother and father (Flight Rising does not utilize a Mendel Inheritance Model), so even if there are distinctive genes in the grandparents or great-grandparents, they will not factor into the current generation you are working on breeding.

Oddly enough, the site is just as slow as ever for me. I wonder if my computer just can't handle it?

It worked gloriously fast for me for about two or three hours after the maintenance. Now it's back to being as slow, if not slower, than before. And it's not even the busiest time yet. I haven't earned more than maybe 10K treasure today because everything is so atrociously slow and impossible to play. It really makes me sad, because I love the game but find it increasingly difficult to do anything.

Damn, I spoke too soon. It was so fast last night I was hoping the problem had been resolved, but now that I've woken up it's molasses. :c

Not officially, but you can use the Search tool on the site, go to dragons, and then input the colours/breed of your hatchling and see if other people have adults that match. If they're a common breed you're usually sure to find some and it'll give you a good idea of what they'll look like.

So since Wrynn got a mate I had to find someone new for Tyrion.
I got a pearlie breedchange with no clear idea on which dragon to use it on.

The unfortunate target is Thaig, one of my progenitors



Someone gave me an obsidian/beige tundra hatchie... he makes for an adorable spiral



And Rafiel who was quite beautiful as a grey/black tundra makes for an equally beautiful wildclaw

I caved in since Tyrion has a black primary with a white secondary an Thaig is white/obsidian, not quite the same but close enough
