I have nothing to say about "NtN". Let people spend their treasure, or not as the case may be, as they choose.

well if i got a stack of 99 i sell them for 49k cause its the end of the week...monday they sold for 85k but the value has dropped

and if i got a stack of 40 i sell them for 20k.. 10 mushrooms for 5 k and so on

I am so mad again. SO MAD.

So after that whole issue where someone was asking for MY dragons for a VERY low amount of treasure in the cross roads and I mistook it for them giving ME dragons for a low price.. And having to chase them back down, explain to them they shouldn't do that and getting all sorts of pissed off... I wake up this morning to see they had sent me ANOTHER dragon trade request doing the same thing.

WHAT PART OF DON'T DO THIS SHIT OR PEOPLE WILL BE ON YOUR ASS TRYING TO GET YOU FUCKING BANNED DO YOU NOT FUCKING UNDERSTAND?!
This is the kind of thing that makes me NOT want to gift dragons to Newbies when the come in. Because there are little stupid ass fucks that come in all like "HURR DURRR OH THIS PERSON GAVE OUT DRAGONS BEFORE! LETS SEE IF I CAN JUST GRAB ANY DRAGON FROM HER LAIR ;DDDD"
Fucking NO. No. It doesn't work like that.
Keep this shit up and I will be creating logs of our encounters and building up proof that what your doing is of foul intent. I've got a shit ton of people banned on Neopets before from this shit when it wasn't actually against the rules.. and I can fuckin' do it here to I'm sure!

I sent them a VERY long letter explaining in detail the RIGHT way to trade for dragons, as well as the minimum price they go for as hatchlings. @_@;

It's not the devs. It's the people. People keep breeding dragons out the Wazoo and undercutting other people so they can get treasure. When the prices of Imps started dropping.. Did people stop breeding? LOLNOPE! BREED MORE IMPS GUIZ!

The Devs can't do anything if people just keep breeding more and more and more. The only way to 'fix' is to cut ALL breeding off for a few months until dragon supply goes down and demand goes up.. But doing that would drive people away because they can't make their little baby dragons during that time.

I feel its not the breeding it's the ridiculous cost of expansions and such, make it easier to buy spaces and people will buy dragons more reasonably,

Honestly, even that wouldn't fix everything, Bowno. The problem that I'm seeing is that we can breed forever and there will never be enough demand for all the dragons we spit out. Even if we all had the largest possible lair sizes, it would just be a temporary fix, because at a certain point we'd be back to where we are now, with full lairs and, with lots of dragon pairs in those lairs, yet more babies being made.

So getting dragons into people's lairs isn't going to be the solution. It would help at first, but people will always end up with full lairs and people won't stop breeding. Heck, I still breed my pairs at every cooldown- but I exalt like crazy, too, because the market doesn't need my tangerine/grey dragons. Until completely getting rid of dragons becomes a more appealing option, the market will keep flooding, breeding cooldowns/lair size be damned. The exalt bonus thing they implemented was a test, because the devs know a huge change can't be put in overnight, you need to add changes little by little. Hopefully, they'll continue adding more to the exalt bonus system, because there are just too many dragons.

Of course, scatterscroll prices skyrocketing hasn't helped the oddball dragon market. If someone was to want to buy the oddball imps out there and scatter them, it would cost them the price of the imp + several scatter scrolls, which easily adds up to the price of a dragon that was prettier from the very beginning. Personally, I'm okay with that, as I'm very much of the opinion that the exalt button is our friend and shouldn't be seen as a tragedy. I don't make as much money off of exalted skydancers, but I don't really mind, because I can just keep breeding and exalting until I hatch something that does sell.

It's also an unfortunate truth that some of the super gorgeous dragon colors out there have become so common that you can't visit a single lair without tripping over three. :-/ It's hard to sell some nice color combos now because you go on AH and see that there are six pages of that color combo for sale. Demand is shifting towards the colors we see less often, the warmer tones and the weird garish monstrosities that so many people (for good reason) adore.

Honestly, I don't think things are going to get better fast. My suggestion is to just fill your lair with the pairs that make you happy- basics, plentifuls, magenta imperials, it doesn't matter. Sure, some of them might not sell. But very little is, so you might as well have a lair you like the look of. Besides, you might get lucky with your weird color combinations. Some of the most well-known lairs out there are well known because they have dragons you don't see anywhere else, colors that the user loves and that the user gathers up regardless of demand. Neogreen, for example, is one of very few lairs with the color schemes they have, and they're famous for them now.

I dunno, this is long and rambling- but tl;dr, enjoy the pretty colors that you like and to heck with everyone else.
