I cant really act like I havent had my own frustration with Archeology..Ive leveled mine to about 450-ish now. So far all I got...was a Mini Pet, the Draenei Teleporter, and the Wind Chimes. Thats *IT* >.<;;

Hey The Last Relic of Argus is an amazing item. I'd take it over a lot of those BOA lvl 61 ish crappy epics anyday

Agreed. I do like the little Clockwork Gnome though.

I think a good fix would be to be able to focus on maybe 2 races at a time. You pick 2 races, and ONLY those digsites would spawn.

Another idea is to cut Kalimdor and E.K. in half, 4 digsites on the northern, 4 digsites on the southern of each continent. That would make it easier to farm Tol'Vir then as well

I've been at 18/20 since mid-January (I leveled my shaman on archaeology because my copy of Cataclysm arrived about fourteen hours after servers rolled over, so the Horde were high enough above me at that point to be uppity and not focused on purely leveling anymore). I stopped for a LONG time because Ashenvale's skybox was driving me crazy, though they partially fixed that in the most recent patch, it's been hard to get my momentum back... no commons left for bitty nuggets of lore to look forward to

Last Relic of Argus is amazing when you can't decide where you want arch at, except when it sends you to Outland (Draenei and Orc are both completely tapped out on my end).

The Last Relic of Argus hasnt really helped me at all every time I have used it. ;.; Ive used it to try to get to other sides of the world map, (Which again sends me to Outland usually), or it just simply sends me absolutely no where near any of my dig sites (where I hadnt even been near any in the first place which was the whole reason I decided to use it! Sigh.).

I'd love to get some of the things that Arch gives but I for the life of me can't get into it. The few times I take a stab at it while waiting for ques I do a spot or two and then lose any steam for it and go see if any hatchling nests are up so I can put them on the AH. Lame I know and it would be epic (pun intended) to get the 2h sword for my war but it is soooooo horribly boring.

Yeah its unique. The fact is that you can only solve Rare or Epic artifacts once. If you're lucky enough to get the 2-h from the Troll artifacts, you wont be able to solve it twice.

(IE you cant solve the Raptor mount twice, etc)

Seeing as they are account bound can you send them to alts? I just got the headdress of the first shammon on Cow and I'd think it would suit my troll shammon more than a giant talking cow hunter.

Yeah its unique. The fact is that you can only solve Rare or Epic artifacts once. If you're lucky enough to get the 2-h from the Troll artifacts, you wont be able to solve it twice.

(IE you cant solve the Raptor mount twice, etc)

I thought as much and I was thinking if you got it on more then one toon and sent them both to the war. I know you can only solve things once.

i actually like archeology as it stands its technically the profession that keeps you most active....you cant ever at any point just sit and craft 25 of the same thing....you dont spend much if any time at AH and the mechanic fo fragment collection keeps you on your toes....i always love when 2 fragments appear on same spot. the only truly bad part is flight and theres ways to amuse yourself while that happens(i go onto youtube)

All I can do is disagree and say that it's the most boring thing in the game at the moment. It drains time, and that's about it. The vast majority of the rewards are mediocre at best. (20 second transform on a two hour cooldown. Woo?)

you said it......it kills time! its meant to be something to pass tme when your bored. if thats the only reason you beleive its boring than i guess i cant agree but thats all it really was....a time killer with potential rewards and cosmetic effects

when i say kill time i mean like when im waiting for my 30-40 minute heroic que to go off not just downtime in general....i use that for leveling alts or something....tonight ill be watching a movie i got yesterday
