I'm not replying to start a debate but Nubhorns states:Worba wrote:That's nice. Other times it takes longer to catch up to me. I haven't had a bad attack in a long time because I've learned what I can get away with and what needed to be cut out.
Hypoglycemia results from the body's overreaction to sugar and refined carbohydrates by creating too much insulin which in turn can lead to anything from dizzyness to low energy or depression, which is in line with the OP's description.
That it may or may not be a reaction exclusive to Pepsi is likely premature to say, hence the reason I advised she get it checked - can't hurt to be cautious.
Nubhorns wrote:I can't breathe in all the way, I feel shaky and nervous because of it. It stays for a few hours after drinking it, even just a sip.
Any doctor or nurse would interpret those words as the reason for being "shaky" and "nervous" is because of the feeling of not being able to breath in all the way. So no, it's not in line with their description of symptoms.
I know what both hypo/hyperglycemia are but thanks for the description for those who may not.

If I am wrong I'll be more then willing to admit it but by the symptoms that Nubhorns describes it is not hyper/hypoglycemia since the shortness of breath reaction is within a few minutes.
Edit (added something else):
I also agree that it's probably something specifically with Pepsi that you're reacting to since you do not react to other soda's Nubhorns. So just avoid the evil drink that is called Pepsi.
