What I have in my tropical fish tank

I love Oscars. I used to breed them and had albinos and normals. They were fun especially when they got huge.
I loved owning cichlids to. Ornery ornery little cusses those things were.

Well I did go get the 55 gallon kit on Friday. It's currently taking up an annoyingly large portion of the floor space in my 2nd bedroom/office. I also ordered an inline heater and some other stuff online. That leaves a stand, canister filter, and a couple other things I still need. I also need to finalize the location where I'll set it up and make room and such. Then will come cycling. I've put an extra sponge in the HoB backup filter on my 38 gallon so that by the time I'm ready to fill the new tank, it should be ready to seed it and jump start the cycle.

Then it'll be oscar time. I got the 55 gallon at Petco, but I won't be getting the oscar there. They have a number of albinos and tigers, but I was very dismayed to see that all but one of the tigers there appeared to have HitH. The one that didn't look to have it is actually the one of the lot I found most attractive, but still...I don't wanna risk it.
