Re: That One Race!
Females:
Human - I have leveled several, and even one to 80 but I just can't seem to stick with them and end up deleting them all, which is odd since I like the way they look.
Gnome - I think they're sweet, but somehow I just can't level them beyond 20 or so. Perhaps it's the eerie chirpiness.
Worgen - I have one female Worgen who I absolutely adore, but I have created several before and after her, and none of them remain long. I despise the casting animations, and I hate what they look like in armour. I tried a Druid since I love their animal forms, but I can't help but think how very confused feral Druid Worgen are, changing from one animal to the next, and it bugs me. So it makes sense that the hunter is the only class I could enjoy on my Worgen.
Forsaken - I LOVE their lore and am desperate to play one, but I never can. I've tried making pretty faces (which I ended up hating since why does a corpse need to be sexy, really?) and then I made some ugly ones that lasted a bit longer, until their stupid models and ridiculous showing joints and ugly hands started bugging me.
Blood Elf - While I have two, one which I really like and another which I can JUST bear, I really can't stand the vast majority of female Belves. Everything from their over-skinny bodies and stupid voices, to their annoying positions, animations and laugh grates on my nerves. The vapid faces, frail bodies and over-popularity as well as sex-symbol status make me vomit a little inside.
Males:
Human - Look stupid.
Night Elf - Look even worse.
Draenei - I hate the way they run, enough for me not to be able to play a male.
Orc - Disgusting.
Forsaken - Whereas I find the females difficult to stick to, I am unable to go beyond the creation process of a Forsaken male. Really bad models, terrible hair, stupid faces, and the same joints-showing issue as the females.
Tauren - My first character to hit 80 was Ceredigion, a male Tauren hunter. I played him quite a bit during Wrath but something always bugged me about him, and I think it may be the size. I hated being so large I took up all the space, and how sad and small all my pets looked next to me. I race- and sex-changed him to Mozag and I don't think I could ever play a male Tauren again, despite the fact that I like the way the look.
Blood Elf - While I dislike them slightly less than the females, I still have a hard time playing the one I have. I tried to give him the best looking face and the nicest hair, but I still feel annoyed whenever I play him.

Re: That One Race!
I dunno if I have this problem. So far, all four of my fully-leveled characters are of different races. (Blood Elf -> Goblin, Troll, Undead, Orc) In fact, I revel in having a diverse group of characters. The only problem I really have lies in the bad reputation Blood Elves have.
Alliance-side, however...
Night Elves: My main was one in Vanilla and BC. Leveling a Nelf would remind me of a simpler time in WoW (or a more complex time, seeing how much less streamlined Vanilla was.)
Gnomes: Only a problem if the Gnome is male. Female Gnomes, however, are freaking adorable.
Draenei: If I ever go Alliance, I have to roll a Draenei. Although people call them octopus-faced Smurfy-goats... that's exactly why they're so cool.
Worgen: Like Draenei, this race seems pretty cool too. Nothing says you're not messing around like a werewolf smashing your head in.
Humans: They seem rather generic to me. But since I played a male Human Rogue in Vanilla and a female Human Death Knight in early Wrath, I suppose Human race is a pretty cool guy.
Dwarves: Never played them, not even on private servers. I don't have a true opinion about whether or not the race would harm my leveling experience. I've thought of rolling a female Dwarf, though, because people will love you for it during world events.

Re: That One Race!
Apparently I have a problem leveling anything but a female troll. No, really. I have ten, eight of which are 85 and the other two are 80+. It's not that I hate other races - it's just that I love my troll girls! Imo they have the most attractive build of any of the races.
I flat out refuse to roll Blood Elves. I really just... yeah. I shouldn't say hate them, but I do. The fact that they make up more than a fourth of the horde is just disgusting to me.
Otherwise, gnomes, dwarves and goblins are out - just because I'm used to playing such a big race, normally! It's such a 'culture shock' logging onto one of these short things. I made a little human warlock, and was shocked how big her imp was. My troll's imp reaches her knee - the human's was easily hip-height!

Holy snap, ten high-leveled characters of the same race and gender? Most people don't have that many high leveled characters period (I think.)Neurotoxinx wrote:Apparently I have a problem leveling anything but a female troll. No, really. In the middle of Wrath I had an 80 pally, preist, hunter and DK that were all blood elves. I liked my elves the lore interested me much more and same thing with the animation styles.

Re: That One Race!
It's become a joke with me and my boyfriend - now all HE's been rolling is trolls, lol. Iunno - blood elves are just... I like the lore a lot better than the player models. If that makes sense. I just want to feed them. (Or, hell, maybe some of the trolls would eat them. Though I bet they'd be a little sinewy. Get stuck in the teeth.)

Re: That One Race!
Male Orcs. Surprising since my main is a female orc, but the males just look rather stupid, as in low intelligence.
Gnomes I want to be able to play as a gnome, since I really like their lore, especially after reading Mekkatorque's leader story on the official site. Plus, they're the only democratic race in the game. However, I just can't get over the urge to punt them.
Worgen I tried a worgen, but I just couldn't get into her. Maybe it was because I was playing as a warlock, and after going through the old quests to get your demons with my first 'lock (a Forsaken), buying them off the trainer felt like cheating to me. Other than that though, the facial expressions looked like something from an old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figure, and the sniffing annoyed the hell out of me. No racial mount also turned me off.
Humans Really, what's the point of playing as human in a game where you can play as anything else? You're already forced to "roll Human" in real life

I agree, really witht he first one. After playing horde for so long and getting an intense hatred for gnomes, I can't play one. As far as humans go I only rolled a human pally due to the bonus in rep and I liked the female tanking stance (though she is no longer a tank).Cerah wrote:

I keep trying to level a gnome mage but I just can't stand gnomes. Thankfully I've never wanted a dwarf because I don't like them either.

Re: That One Race!
Worgen.
They completely failed on all counts with the Worgen. I hate the stride walk/run animation, I hate the female model, I hate the running wild, I hate that they can change to humans, I hate the sniffing, I hate they retconned a far better story for the weak one we have now, I hate the poor voice acting for them, I hate their starting zone.
Bah. What a complete waste they turned out to be

Need to add gnomes again - because whenever I see someone win a need roll or stumble onto some rare I've been after for months / years, somehow... it... always... seems... to... be... a... gnome.
I want to vampirically drain their luck (and then punt them, ofc).
