DPS warriors don't sunder because of the dps loss, but they will if they have to. The threat has nothing to do with it.

Looks like the patch messed a few things up. Pet damage is lower and they also seem to be taking much more damage from AoE. I'd recommend keeping a SV or MM offspec just in case you run into a fight where pets are useless.
