I have a stack of 10 tears of loyalty in my bags. I just can't sell them cuz the text is so sad. All those unwanted pets. /cries

(No, I didn't gank any of them, they were all either from rares no one wanted or from accidental kills, such as Solix running out of energy and me having the tag on him.)
Part of Dark Magics, lvl 25 Horde guild, casual, helpful, don't raid, mostly help people and hunt pets.
Part of Dynasty, lvl 25 Alliance guild, casual and hardcore (your choice, no one forces you to raid, but you can), very helpful

For some of the high profile Northrend rares I'll usually check around first, but I have no qualms killing them either. The only ones I wouldn't bother touching are the new rares that don't give anything, those I'll assuredly leave for a hunter.
This, all over. Loque? If I can't find someone to tame, he'll die (Nice cloak he offers and my teeny guild hasn't unlocked the cloaks yet). But should i stumble over, say, Sambas? I'l look for a home, then leave him be.

If you want black and white, it is ok, but I prsonally would not do it.

No - actually, I pass the time doing rare flybys. Northrend, old world content, Cata zones. I normally take the time to ask around, but in the long run sometimes I just can't be bothered, so I kill them and log the time in case I run into someone. Especially Loque. The silly snothead won't drop his cloak, and I desperately want it for RP. >:l

Tears, blues, greens, it doesn't really matter that they drop. I just like finding them and watching them pat around for a bit. I will admit my patience has been whittled down over the years by people jumping out of nowhere to harass me next to the corpse of the thing that they've been waiting "LIKE FOUR MONTHS FOR YOU BASTARD" when I checked /who and whispered repeatedly beforehand only to get disinterest. You can only tell someone they're a shame to the hunter class so many times before they just stop asking if you want to come tame Spirit Beast A or Rare B. I'm sorry you missed your rare by a second, I know it bites, here's the time, quit cussing at me.

I believe his cloak is a guaranteed drop when you skin him, if you are or know a skinner.

My hunter is a skinner, and she will skin Loque if she happens upon him again and no one wants him on either faction and she kills him. Old world skins also seem to sell well. I sold a stack of clefthoof leather or whatever its called for 200g.

I'm only asking this because I was flying around Sholaza, looking for Aotona (still eludes me to this day) and I saw Loque. No hunters in Sholazar. No one on in guild. I asked a few people in general if they knew anyone who wanted her, but still no bites. I didn't kill her, just left her to prowl around, but someone was bound to come along and pop her in the head sooner or later.

My question, would it be wrong for me to kill a rare if NO ONE AT ALL seems to want it and you know someone else is going to come along and kill it?

(I asked on both factions, since I have toons on both factions, btw)

Depends on the rare.

One of the new ones, I wouldn't.

One of the Northend ones? Well if you want the acheive then kill it. Personally I would never kill Loque after I spent so much time hunting him myself, I'd leave be and hope someone would come along for him eventually.

Others, the ones that actually drop loot still (if the old ones still do that is)? If you want the loot then kill.
