The people you meet in dungeons......
Re: The people you meet in dungeons......
We have a couple of husband/wife tank/healer teams in our guild, and one of the wives also tanks sometimes. The only downside is that they'll occasionally coordinate heals/purges/tank swaps outside Vent, which can catch the rest of the raid off balance.

Run into this a lot actually... sadly. Though usually for me its in trade chat, but in trade at least the guys are willing to take witty comebacks from the females, especially when I explain that yes, I'm female, yes, I'm in the military, so the whole sexist thing to me isn't really amusing. I can handle jokes, but full on bigotry bothers me. Then they'll make cracks about my guild. (We're a small guild and most of our active members are female). Attacking me is one thing, but don't touch my guildies.
Side note: Our GM Z, (at the moment it kinda rotates between him, me and another lady) only plays female characters. Had a new guild member convinces for about four months that it was his wife's account. To the great amusement of all of us he was flirting like crazy, until he finally broke down and told the guy. "My wife doesn't play, it's been me the whole time". But he's our main tank and loves to amuse himself by riling up the other players by calling them "babe" "doll" and "sweetie" while he's pretending to actually be a lady. The ones that can handle the jokes are usually the ones that get invited, the ones that can't, he just baits them more.

Perhaps I'm too serious, but the way you describe it, it sounds more mean-spirited than funny.Leirudan wrote:Our GM Z, (at the moment it kinda rotates between him, me and another lady) only plays female characters. Thank you.Worba wrote:/respectLeirudan wrote:yes, I'm in the military
Let me explain maybe a little bit better, typing at 4am is not exactly my strong suit, lol. He's really not a mean guy at all. He just loves to be a little crazy and WoW is his vent for that. He can say and do things on here that he normally can't (because of his kids). He's a very "metrosexual" gentleman, he matches his characters hair to their outfits, their outfits to their mounts, and so on. Usually when he's playing around he imitates his"perfect lady". \ He never jokes around to actually hurt anyone. He just likes to see the reactions, and if he does hurt or offend anyone, as long as they've been civil, he always apologizes. The only time that I've ever seen him get rude about it was when another player started embarrassing me in a dungeon when i first started playing.GormanGhaste wrote:Perhaps I'm too serious, but the way you describe it, it sounds more mean-spirited than funny.Leirudan wrote:Our GM Z, (at the moment it kinda rotates between him, me and another lady) only plays female characters.
