Discord is pretty much Q. I'm guessing the character was written around having DeLancie voicing him. Just like Q, he's clever and troublesome, but not really 'scary.'

I still wonder now after reading a few posts today if Discord will turn back into a statue or side with the ponies in the end. God only knows if I had defeated an enemy then encased him in stone, I wouldn't want him sitting in a random park around everypony else.

probably be the villain for the rest of season two, they need a more dominant antagonist

Bleh. It airs on Saturday morning. That sucks because I work on Saturday mornings so I have catch it on YouTube when people upload. Thankfully, Hasboro doesn't seem to mind people uploading full episodes, but I would still prefer see it on TV.

I must say something about Discord (DIS CORD! D: ). I was actually fond of the idea of the Pony's colors being dulled when they lost their connection with the element. I thought that was a nice touch. Here's to hoping Princess Luna shows up at least a few times through out the upcoming series. >.>

When Season 2 was first announced, they mentioned there would be a Luna-centric episode. :) They said the same for Derpy Hooves/Ditzy Doo as well.

I was super excited when I heard this. I really can't wait. I have to catch the youtube uploads though, I canceled my cable a few months back after realizing that I never really watched anything. I hope they make sure Luna is around more (more than just one Luna-centric episode anyway) since she seems like she could be a very interesting character. As for Ditzy Doo/Derpy Hooves I don't really know what to expect other than some good laughs.

On a first episode related note, my roommate and I couldn't help but crack up every time Pinkie Pie said "Chocolate rain."
