Re: Tyrande has a new model?!
When they take questions at the end of the panels at BlizzCon, I now totally want someone to stand up and demand 100% lore-accurate hair for the major NPCs. I really do.

Oooh. I think Tyrande's dress is very pretty but I never pictured her wearing something so short (even if she was "forced" to dress up, lol). But hey, I suppose that's male developers for you.

Saw the model on MMO. And someone needs to tell her to politely tell her to file those toe nails.

They did later. This was back when night elves were like "Oh humans and orcs can go DIAF."Arwyn wrote:Saw the model on MMO. And someone needs to tell her to politely tell her to file those toe nails.

Okay here, let me make something clear about the Azshara hair issue. Its not a big one, but *anyone* who read the war of the ancients books knows that they hammered in the fact that she had silver hair. In the books, they tend to (imo) over due it when they use a feature to describe the character.
Cloven hooves for draenei, Azshara's hair and eyes, Ronin's hair etc etc etc.
I would have never guessed that was Azshara considering how many changes are made to her vs. the books and what we know in game about her.

Re: Tyrande has a new model?!
and if you notice, they made rhonin very well compared to how he was described in the books, especially for the fact he doesnt have a unique model, they made him appropriate to what the fanbase sees him as if they've read the books and yes yes authors and blizzard do come in at odd ends in some things, arthas being a big one, a lot of WoW players read the books and the books have become just as much apart of us as the game has, the books are like WoW's lore in story form so, least in my case and im sure theres many more people like me in the player population that thinks this way.
We (unknown player base and i who think alike) read the books and then see the events and the characters and the lands described in the books in-game, the visual to a novel, the illustrations to a book that didnt have them put right onto paper and glued to the books spine. Also, to nit pick again, it was also fairly hammered in that Tyrande doesnt have green hair but midnight blue.. and yea if i was never told that first model in the video was azshara and the last model was tyrande i would of had them mixed up and still be horrendously confused >_>

Wow...yeah....I never would have guessed that was Tyrande.
I've always thought of her to have the dark blue hair and simple white dress as well. If I hadn't known any better I also would have pegged the new Azshara model as Tyrande.
Could have fooled me Blizz. Tyrande TCG art in the middle...

All in all, the new models still look amazing even if they did botch up the looks of em xD
And I wholeheartedly agree with Vephriel and Xakaal.
