I do the taming in the tree for Banny. On my second action bar, I put my freezing trap, mount, arcane shot, and tame. I just click freezing trap, use mount to fly straight up, hit mount again to dismount, arcane shot (by this time, I'm back on the tree) and tame. I have been low on health but I haven't died or failed to tame him yet with that method on two hunters.

I tamed Karkin by myself (easy sauce after all the instructions we have given for it). I have no intentions of getting Kirix. I figured taming him with one hunter while having rez sickness was a sign that he's homed with Roxhunt for me and not needed on my new hunter!
