Green = Safe zone. These pets are the ones I use most and am most fond of.
Orange = Considered for release. Either I do not use these pets very much or I have duplicates from the same families.
Red = Very likely to be released.
Black = Undecided.

My biggest 'want' at the moment are definitely the new tiger models. Hydras being on the shared #1 spot. The rest I listed are more or less "I will try these out and see how they feel" but won't get too upset on giving up if they are not tameable or get replaced with something more interesting that is discovered later on.

About my current stable then: I never thought I'd say this... But my beloved Halcyon (the white saber) might get replaced by a new white tiger model. Though, this is something I will only do if I have to and can't find any other way around. At the moment I have a huge amount of cats in my stable and at least Sambas is going to go. The only reason I still haven't released him is the fact that he took so long to find. (I haven't even given him a name and he barely leaves my stable.) Maybe I can find some space to keep my dear Halcyon and still introduce yet another cat into my stable.

You might notice the amount of spirit beasts I have. *sigh* They're just so beautiful and fit my hunter very well. I've fought with stable space a lot before because I have too many spirit beasts and I will have to skim them down eventually. Either Ankha or Magria will probably be released eventually and currently I'm leaning more towards Magria. Ban'thalos and Olm are, in my mind, rather similar in personality so eventually either one might get released. Currently leaning more towards Banny because he is a spirit beast which, yet again, I have just too many of.

As much as I love warp stalkers, I have to consider releasing my Gezzarak due to already having a white warp stalker in my top 5. I'm too fond of the white one as I've had him since BC and it was the first I ever wanted. Gezzarak is in the top 5 of my alt hunter though, so I wouldn't feel too bad about it.

This is harder then I thought it would be.

Just going to look at my main, Shade. Gypsi and Kitt will likely catch the pets that I toss and have them on a new home.

Image

Green=Pets that I am super attached to that are going nowhere
Blue=Pets that I like, but hardly ever use and don't have to keep
Red=Pets that I would most likely toss first, these are the ones that I hardly ever use

For my selection at the bottom, I know its super unlikely that the last row would become tamable, but IF it were to happen those are the ones I'd pick up.

To be honest, so far, I just want a crane! I've no idea who to ditch for one though. Maybe my green molten front spider... Deth and the Orange one (I've forgotten their wild names and only know the ones I gave them, oops) are my favorites.

Bleh I am not ready for this!! I am waiting on my new computer so I can upgrade to lk and cata- I hardly have my cata pet list in order and now I have to go through and look at ones I am willing to get rid of. >.< I can probably get rid of my jade owl, runed demon dog, two cats, madexx and replace my tanking pet in mop but other then that I really like my cata list >.< Hope we get more slots xD
I will get a hydra (at this point I as convicted we will get them in mop.) A dragon turtle and a new cat skin for sure. Possibly a crane but I’m not sure I can afford one since I probably will only use it for show. We still have a long ways to go before the xpack comes out and I need to make room for the flood of new possible pets.

Right now im waiting to see what pops up on Sas I have 5 open stable slots and a few more pets I could release so it should be fine for whatever new things pop up. To be honest I wouldnt mind 5 new stable slots to make it 30 but im ok with what we have now, atleast on Sas .

Staying:
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
Unsure, but would like to keep:
ImageImageImage
Can let go:
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

I dont really have much of an issue with my stable. The ones in the Can Let Go catagory i switch out rather often so im not attached to them at all.
Other than the two wolfs...id like to keep em but i dont feel i need to.

Pets id like to tame from MoP(if tameable) is:
A crane. white, green or pink.
A tiger, color undesided.
A otter, porkupine or beaver.
A tallbuk
A purple or grey outland Hydra
A Pterrordax
A shark...yes. a damned shark! i want one!

Image

While this feature of the Grimtotem Spirit Guide wasn't exactly intended... - it will still be possible in future for everyone who wishes to tame this NPC to do so

Hee, I actually wouldn't mind it being 30 because I'm very finicky about even numbers, and 30 just looks and sounds better than 25. ^^

I'm just waiting until we see a lot more of what we are going to get.. :-)

I'll certainly get one of the new cats, but, there are so many things we still need to know..

1) More stable slots?
2) How will pet talents work?
3) What are the new pet specials?
4) What pets will be bringing what buffs?
5) How will stampede effect what we bring? (Will pets in stampede still use their specials, or will it simply be claw/bite when under stampede? Will it make sense to bring 5 different pets, or do you want 5 of the same pet for the visual effect?)

So much we need to find out.. :D

At the moment I'm just focusing on opening up some space on each of my hunters to play around with since I won't be sure on who's getting what until we get more information.
For Akz-
Image
12 of the pets in the first three rows are keepers, the three at the bottom are fighting over the spare slot, and the white and black tigers are for sure getting upgraded to the new models (<3<3<3). Other than that, she'll probably get a white hydra once they're tamable and then use the rest of her slots to play around with any other new pets we get.

Here's how I see my stable now. Those with the black outline are most likely the keepers, yellow have a possibility of being released, red are the new pets whom I'm still forming a bond with or older ones that are closer to being released than yellow...maybe. Once we know how the buffs are going to be handled I'll have a better idea of what I'm going to do. I raid so what buffs which pet brings is a pretty big factor in some of my stable slots. Also, of course, we may or may not get a few new slots come MoP.

Here are the MoP pets I'm looking forward to taming:

How do people get the small preview-type pictures off the Petopia site? Cause I'd like to make my own grid but I don't know how people are linking them here so small.

Also, there's a lot of people saying they're likely to get rid of some pets because they've got a few from the same pet family. I don't see what the problem is with having a few from the same family if you want them. I'm sure I read as well that in MoP you can get any pet to do any role if you give them that spec or something. So it's not like you'll need turtles and whatnot to tank for you anymore. My stable is full of cats because it's my favourite family and there's loads of skins I like and I don't plan on getting rid of any of them.

I just copied the thumbnails from Petopia and pasted them into my image editing program.

As for the duplicate species, there's definitely no problem with it, but for myself I can't help thinking "Do I really need 2 or more of this kind of pet?", yet I get attached to them all the same. x)

I meant the Mists of Pandaria pets, everyone seems to be taking the models as if they were straight off the site with the greenish-white backgrounds and stuff.

Oh, I've seen those already, derp. Thanks anyways Veph. You mind if I steal your grid and just fill it in with my own pets? Too lazy to make my own when it'll basically be the same layout anyway. :P

A yak, giraffe, talbuk or stag. Any/all of the above would make me extremely happy. I think yak is the most likely (it's not that different to rhino if you think about it and we got those).

*deep breath* I finally managed to make a decision with my scorpids.

In the end, I realized I had become far too attached to Agamand, my green. He just looked like he belonged with Veph. They match each other, and something about his overall attitude seems to click with her.

Image

Almagest had me caught up with the fate hook, but I think I feel okay about letting him go. He always seemed like an older scholar to me, so leaving him with the secrets of Uldum to plumb through felt right. Perhaps I'll see if he deems one of my alts as an appropriate companion and tame him on one of them.

Image

Well, that's one hard decision down...a few more to go. >.>;

So, what are the plans for my stable? Out with the old and in with the new I suppose. I had a hard time deciding whether or not to remove Deathmaw since he was rather difficult to obtain because of his unique sound effects when you click him. All the while, I guess it's time to say goodbye. The other ones had no significant meaning to me. Old Cliff Jumper was one I had on my original account back in vanilla. Sadly I lost that account... anyways, the creatures marked with a red 'X' are the ones I am willing to part with if there are any rare unique beasties coming up in MoP. OH and the names Kientrae :) if you ever do see me in game I go by the name Quapaw. Nice to meet you, fellow hunters! <3
