Unique/rare skins you want common in MoP

Aside from spirit beasts, I'm actually fine with spreading the love a bit as long as there is at least one skin in the family that remains unique.

Edit: Or in the 'model family' per se, since some families are huge. A couple of common recolors of Sambas would leave his golden color unique in his 'model family.' Recolors of Skarr would do the same for his black skin.

I'm one of those who doesn't really care if a skin is common or unique; and I feel I can say that because I have camped the rares and some of them I have abandoned for common skins that I like just as, if not, more. If I like the skin, I'll tame it.

However, I do wish they had non-spirit beast versions of those skins. I love the Loque skin but I don't like BM, so I'd kill for a normal cat version of him. If it was rare, I'd camp it, if it was common, I'd tame it. My main hunter has him and a couple of other spirit beasts that I love the skins of, but they are sitting unusable in her stables because I run pve sv and mm as her specs - and love the play style of them. In fact, all of the spirit beasts in her stables have special stories behind taming them - adventures with the person I came back to wow to play with - and if I had the option to turn them into non-exotics, I'd have them permanently at her side.

Would it make those exotic rares any less special if there was a non-exotic rare version of them? I don't think so, a rare is a rare. Some people will get lucky and just stumble on them, others will have to camp for months - like my hunter Taey and her quest for a blue Madexx, oh god the months in that blasted sandpit.

Well, if you are gonna make all rares non-exotic, let's just give all pets exotic abilities for BM. That would be a fair trade.

Yep, just give any pet family a special ability that can be used by BM. Rares would simply be rares. That's the only way I would agree to non-exotic versions of the Spirit Beasts.

They took away those talent points. BM is getting shafted in that regard. So taking away exotics entirely without something very meaningful in return would result in a lot of /gamequit

The only way I'd agree to Loque or Skoll being a 'normal' pet is if they also took away the obvious signs of spirit-beast-hood: Loque's flames, Skoll's lightnings. As for the others, I feel they're simply too obviously spirit beasts.

IDGAF if they made all the SB's and other rares common. More for those that love the skin but can't find it.

I'd be happy to see more green dinos and blue puppers walking around...I think they're pretty.

None. They can make plenty of new pretty beasts that are common, or recolored skins of existing rares, again like a white Sambas. They're already making Jadefang and two of the Madexxes non-unique, and that's far enough.

After 4 damn years circling Sholozar, I'd do just about anything for Loque or at least the skin, easily my favorite pet skin in-game, and it just happens to be the rarest and most sought after pet in the game.

Wish you were on my server, I found him, and Aontona (twice), and Skoll, and Arctius in a 24-hour window this weekend as I was hunting for the achieve, and placed them all with two hunters I found in /who.

All I can say is, look late at night, that's when I see them.

However, on topic, if Loq was suddenly made common, or put on a 20-min timer, don't you think that would devalue him, especially after all the time you've been looking?

And it's not really that I cannot find him, it's that my luck when I do find him is ridiculous... 9 times I've found him, 2 dead, 4 being killed and 3 stolen from me for the achievement. I just want my snow leopard, without the chance of losing him for at least another 10-24 hours, and still no guarantee.

Is your server still that crowded there? When I've been doing my recent laps, I've seen only one other person there, other than the hunters I brought in to tame them.

Surprisingly, yes. There are usually 2-3 miners/herbalists that kill on sight, plus occasional skinners, also KoS, and then anywhere from 2-4 campers for the tame/achieve. And that's generally ally only, I can't say for sure about horde. I've just sorta given up atm. I get frustrated and bored and extremely annoyed with the constant circles while hunting, and it's not pleasant, so I avoid the zone altogether.

This is the what I hate to hear. All the similar stories I have heard about Loque or Skoll, Sambas, Madexx, Anhka/Magria and on and on. I want the unlucky and less fortunate to enjoy these things to. When I read stories like Gimlion's... I don't know, it just doesn't seem right. Who am I to say he shouldn't have a Loque skin because I happen to be luckier than he is?

Eh, It's not such a big deal that I'd server transfer for him, it's such a fair sum of cash that my parents can't necessarily afford on top of the $15 a month they already pay for me to play. I'm sure I'll end up finding him eventually when I can tame him.

I have rather astounding luck with rare pets, having found just about all of the unique/semi-unique ones via fly-by's at least twice (there are a few exceptions). If I'm meant to find him, I will eventually. My major concern is the new cross-server zones blizzard is implementing. With that, it may end up becoming far too crowded for me to find him on a whim, and I would rather not camp anymore.

Either way, it's not like I don't have a spirit beast, I do have Karoma, Ghondria and Magria (as well as having tamed Ban'Thalos twice and Arcturis once before), I'd just love his skin. Especially since I feel a snow leopard is quite the thematic companion for a Dwarf hunter such as myself.
