Maybe instead of Nesingwary, it can be a new faction, lets say, the Pandaria Trappers Union, were they could give you quest to capture beast like Porcupines, Tigers, Silkworms and such and when you get Revered/Exalted with them you can take on the pet/mount.

The phrase "no offense" is a personal pet peeve of mine. It is usually used when someone doesn't care enough to phrase their comment politely enough to actually not give offense.

In my case, it means lack of expertise with language to properly phrase myself. I know what I'm posting may be seen as offensive, but it's not intended to - but as I can't find better words at the moment, I drop that phrase to let people know I didn't try to piss them off.

My idea has been changed with some of the suggestions posted. Also, Nesingwary is only a minor character now in the questline. It is now a new faction.

The issue's still in it being a quest. Unless they bring back class quests, it's not going to happen as a questline.

except a Druid is not a Hunter.

A druid doesn't go out into the wild WITH an animal companion.

I DON'T play Druid because I HATE playing a Druid.

I play a Hunter because THAT is what I like, and I tend to have a personal connection with my animal companion... in the game, just as in real life.

I love my cats and I love my dog... it doesn't mean I want to BE a cat or a dog.

I think that's an incredibly insensitive and erroneous reduction of what the "two types of hunters" are. From your comments, I'm going to presume that you are the former type of hunter, particularly for the ease with which you slag those who belong to the latter category. No offense.

A bit of palindromic wisdom:
"Step on no pets!"
Casual player.. don't raid, don't PvP. Suffer from extreme altitis
I love pets - combat or non.

The questline itself isn't hunter only, it's available to all classes. The only part hunter only though, is the ability to tame it. It could give you an error if you're not a BM hunter or a hunter at all such as ''You're not a hunter'' or ''Creature not tamable''.

I know we have a lot of people here for whom English is a non-native language, so I try to take that into account, but it didn't occur to me in this situation. A more polite phrasing would be:
To me, the "I live in the wild with animals" play-style seems more appropriate to druids than hunters.

To those saying 'but living in the wild with the animals is a druid thing!' I must offer this rebuttal.

"He is deeply in tune with nature, and some of its mightiest beasts are his allies. Of Azeroth's many creatures, few can resist the hunter's call, and fewer can survive his fury. Hunters are as varied as the world's many climates, but they are universally renowned for their amazing abilities to find their prey and bring it down. They come from any race (players are restricted to seven races), though certain races naturally excel at the hunter's profession. Most hunters seek to aid the balance of nature along with their druidic allies."

&

"The hunter is one of the oldest classes in history. They represent a deep connection between man and beast, and the hunters of Warcraft are not merely individuals who track animals and slay them for food, but custodians of balance. They understand the natural circle of life and death, and the part they must play in maintaining it not simply as researchers, but as active participants. The "Hunt" is venerated, and the prey they choose to stalk is given as much respect as the predators hunters choose to learn from and embody. All hunters create lifelong friendships with animal companions, who are also often their best and only friends, if the stereotype of the reclusive huntsman is to be believed."

&

"The hunter is the choice of life for those who reject societies that oppress the natural role as prey and hunter, and also reject the druidic stance that we should be healers and observers rather than active participants in the 'Great Hunt.'"

All taken from wowpedia.com, most of the citations for those passages were from the Roleplaying Game--and yes, I know anything from the RPG is only canon until Blizzard makes in-game canon stating otherwise. The TL;DR of it all is that hunters are not so far from druids as one might think!

I have to completely agree. I love animals, as well as nature in general, though I wouldn't call myself a hippy or a tree hugger, nor am I a vegetarian. I chose Hunter and Druid as 2 of my favorite classes because of my Enjoyment of not only nature, but the balance that nature relies on. Without predators and hunting, there'd be over population, but without the help of conserving nature, it'd go extinct. You need both, and that's how I feel a hunter should be.

Also, I really enjoy Shaman for their nature-orientation as well. Though not quite trees and animals, the elements are as much a part of nature as anything.
