*nod* Their run animation has always bugged me a bit too (hah, I made a pun), it doesn't seem as though they're using their legs to move forward, their legs just kind of wiggle on the side and don't seem to touch the ground to give them forward momentum. It wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me though, if I tamed one and ended up loving it I could easily overlook that. I do know what you're talking about though.

if they seriously dont wanna put them in a tamable family, just make a SB, its easy, and since SBs use different moles anyways, you just add anothr model and PRESTO, you have a tamable sand reaver. They could also do this with hydras, thunderlizards, etc.

thanks Veph for the awesome sig! :D

The only problem is sand reavers have amazing, venomous-looking, multi-colored skins and it'd be a waste to just make it all transparent.

Yes please tamable sandreavers.

Even though they leave my squick alarms screaming, somehow I still want to tame one. :P

Spirit Beasts don't have to be transparent. I would love to have a Sand Reaver SB done in a style similar to Loque.

Doing it in the style of SB is fine, but don't make the current sand reavers SB, they don't fit at all.

But I would like to see them tamable if they fix the animation, and put them in the silithid section, since they're best in there.

The other messed-up animation is the run one. The simple solution would be to do what many pets already have, and make the run simply a sped-up walk animation. It doesn't look too bad:

The walk is much better than the run...while it's running it just looks like its legs are flailing all over but not actually hitting the ground. x)

Yeah, there are some downsides of reusing skeletons! Silly Blizzard. :)

Hee, overall I'd say the skeleton works for them though. I can look past the run. I do have a slight bias for the croc skeletons, admittedly. :D

These guys are big, ugly creepy little things that trigger my “ohmygoshrun!” reflex whenever they look at me….

…..

*puppy eyes* ohpleaspleaspleaspPLEAS can I have one??? O.O I will name him nightmare, rub his belly and give him n00bs to eat! >.<

I would love to see them get an ability like the sand trap from the one in aq 25. But I would be happy if Blizz just tossed them into the silithid family. Either way I would probably end up chasing down unfortunate players in a bg with this guy. <3

Yeah, I think the idea of PvPing with a huge, vicious centipede makes me want them even more. It's already satisfying enough to see my tamed version of Lord Kri rip open some poor hordie with low resilience... but a sandreaver? Gimme!

Thanks for that; Wain said he's been having fun making new skins for the sandreavers. I wanted to hold off on bumping until we get those new skins, as potential new looks could bring in more support!

Allright, I hate double posting, but I just had to bump this so people could see the amazing new skins Wain created! Check the first page for more info...

Those edits are very nice!
As for the sand reavers becoming tameable, you have my vote for sure!

I'll be waiting on the highland, with its wonderful serenity.
Where the stars glow and the brooks flow, that's my way of life.
When the mountains on the highland, and the nature is surrounding me, when the wind blows, that's all I need.
