Thanks for the feedback. :3 I don't know why but when ever I see something in a game I'm like "can I kill it?"Zuilu wrote:They're unkillable, just friendly little vanity mobs it seems. ^^cowmuflage wrote:I was wondering are those mobs? I say double-posting is allowed in this thread because screenshots are always great to see.

I love how much personality all your moa (moas?) have Toph.

I seem to have become attached to 3 pets so far. Though I'm actively trying to tame them all just for the sake of having a full pet grid, I'm mainly bonded with my Ice Drake, Polar Bear, and Shark.
I forgot to mention names before, so here's a re-introduction.
My ice drake is named Jorm. I'm not altogether certain on the reason behind the name, though I strongly suspect the fact that the ice dragon Jormag is responsible for the inspiration, it just sort of popped into my head the first time I tamed him and it suited him so there it was.

Then there's my polar bear, who I half-jokingly named Shirokuma (polar bear in Japanese, literally translating to 'white bear'). I just stuck it on him as a temporary thing while I was running around with him, but I started using him more and more because I love the dark facial markings and how well he could tank. Now he's practically my main leveling pet since he's far more durable than Jorm who can be a bit flimsy at times. Anyways, I might find a better name for him at some point, but I've kinda grown to love Shirokuma.

And then my shark. <3 Yes I love my shark. His name is Larry. And he's my pit of endless ravening, therefore he does not frighten me. <3

If they are going by the real bird then it's "moas" for more than one

Wow being from New Zealand is useful for once

Thanks, Veph! I love my birdies. <3
I just call them terror birds. They look like them more than actual moas to me.
And seeing your screenshots of Larry made me log into the game and run out to finally tame my own shark.
Meet Segacedi! (Yup, he's named after that certain shark from Dalaran's sewers. I had to.)

Along with the moas, the thought of finally being able to tame a shark is what sold me on this game. I would've gotten mine earlier, but I had no clue what level the area was where you could get the shark was, until I actually looked on the map and saw that it's 15-25. I'm 31. >_>
For underwater combat, I'm gonna be alternating between Segacedi and Relic, my armorfish.

For something so imposing, he's actually kinda derpy. When I was trying to get a picture of him, he... swam into the nearby rockface and kept swimming until I got him to move. ^_^;
More green moa cuteness.

Last night, I went to Caledon Forest because I read that you could find juvinile blue moas there, which, unless I'm looking in the wrong place, turned out to be false. I went all over looking for them, but it looks like they were switched out for pink moas.
But, while I was looking, one of the green moas on the beach suddenly ran up to Cassie and stopped beside her. It was too cute for me not to get a picture of, so I had to hurry and hide my UI and take the pic before he ran off again.

So I was really excited because I got my first head piece, which looked awesome.

And then I got this amazing trenchcoat. I love how badass my character looks right now.

Re: GW2 Screenshots Thread [Img Heavy]
Now I've no intent to play GW2, I just don't think I have enough time personally, that and my partner would kill me if I entertained the idea of another game... well considering how much time i can spend on wow as it is (Yes yes, insert whips crack here --->
<---)
However, I'm really REALLY loving these pics you guys are posting, GW2 really looks so beautiful and it's nice to just see what other games are up to and offer these days. The armor, the pets (omg Veph that Polar bear, so good looking!) the whole place looks great!
Keep up the shinnies!

Re: GW2 Screenshots Thread [Img Heavy]
I'm honestly blown away by this game. It says a lot that it's been keeping me away from WoW since it came out since no other MMO has ever held my interest. GW2 is just beautiful, and so much fun. I was hesitant on buying it since I wasn't sure if I could really get into another MMO, but I am so glad I purchased it. It's worth it in my opinion, especially without any subscription fees. It's actually felt a bit like a solo game so far since I've been spending all of my time exploring and furthering my character plot quests. You don't even need to treat it as an MMO, there are so many things that you can do just by yourself. The completionist side of me is loving collecting all the waypoints and vistas and filling out every map.Spiritbinder wrote:Now I've no intent to play GW2, I just don't think I have enough time personally, that and my partner would kill me if I entertained the idea of another game... well considering how much time i can spend on wow as it is (Yes yes, insert whips crack here ---><---)

I just keep gushing about it every chance I get because I'm legitimately that excited about how much I'm enjoying it.

Wow, I doubt I'll play it simply because one addiction is enough, but it really does look gorgeous!
Though, Veph, your poor white bear looks really worried for some reason. That front shot of his face...

Re: GW2 Screenshots Thread [Img Heavy]
Just hit level 30 and finally got my Raven Form! SO AWESOME.

Re: GW2 Screenshots Thread [Img Heavy]
Tried a ranger at first, but pets are very squishy and too dimwitted to stay out of trouble without constant micro-management. I normally go for pet classes, but I don't think this one is for me.

I do love how Charr dash about on all fours.
I'm giving the Engineer a try now. Seems pretty solid.

Wow, what a gorgeous game! I would be seriously tempted, but I doubt my computer could handle graphics like that. It barely handles WoW
