If I recall correctly, the ones in Blade's Edge Mountains were called Void Hounds and Void Terrors.

Shame they aren't tameable, it's a really nifty creature model. =)

There's actually a boss, too, from vanilla. Don't know it's name, but it's in Dire Maul.

The pic celestial posted is the one I was talking about. I rannnn there as soon as I heard they were tamable (after getting the white one I left my hunter in the cave the day before the patch) But sadly those blue ones are not able to be tamed. Sigh I would have named him Googly

Ah, I meant to show what mob it is. It's ok though, Rhyela and Veph filled me in.

I was on a kind of a freak show trip with Sara's pets at one point (I think it was inspired by her ravager, you know... weird, alien creatures) and this fella' would have fit right in. Too bad.
