Show Off Your Legion-Era Tames!

Apparently I didn't get a pic of one of my tames yet (gray basilisk), so here are the others so far.

Here I am, trying to decide if I really need to tame the very first animal I see. Like literally, the very first one.



It seems the answer was yes, yes I do. The name was a toss-up between Bob and Maple. I went with Maple, but it was bothering me all day at work today because it just didn't suit him. This moose is Bob. I don't know why, but he is. I sent myself a certificate of ownership and changed his name. Soooo, yeah. Here's Bob.



(These moose have so much charm and personality! I love them, and I love seeing everyone else enjoying them just as much.)

I like the new wolves (worgs, w/e) quite a bit. I fully expected to like the dark gray one, but when I tamed one, it felt very meh to me. I looked up where to find the other colors (yay Petopia), and tamed one of each. The brown one was equally meh, maybe more so, but the white one is definitely a winner for me. I don't have a name for him yet, but I'm definitely leaning towards something Nordic-sounding. I probably don't need so many wolves, but there are just so many that I like!

Here's a better pic of my wolf. I ended up coming up with the name Palefang. I do wish their eyes were set a little more forward on the skull, but I think it's still a nice model overall.

I managed to find a Mecha-Bond Imprint Matrix early this morning on the AH for a mere 5,000 Schmeckles (for all you Rick and Morty nerds like me out there. Seriously, why can't we just start calling Azerothian gold "Schmeckles" as the currency name?) So, I went on a whirlwind Mech Pet taming session, and he's my favorite so far

I didn't get an in-game pic because I logged off right after I got him, but here's my newest tame! I tried a couple other colors too (gray and brown), but the black one immediately appealed to me. I wanted a good "dark" name, so I went with Erebos.

Had to have Thok even if i cant use him in rp really what elf would outfit him like that then i figured skin swap him for giggles to hati and noticed hati gets a bit bigger than the original!

Anyways my first non rp tame there you go.

I finally got this guy tonight! I mined a LOT of felslate without a single basilisk spawning (but three leystone basilisks already), but when I logged on tonight, I made it a point to mine felslate until I got him, and he spawned on the first one in Highmountain! Yahoo! It took me a bit to come up with a name, but I eventually settled on Felbane since he's going to help me beat down some demons. He looks a bit monochromatic in pictures, but he's actually rather handsome, and even seems to change color in different lighting conditions. I also thought that his eyes were green for some reason, but they're actually a really pale blue.

I tamed yet another boar. I want to like the Draenor boars so bad, but am having a hard time clicking with them. I just think the Vanilla models are cuter with the way they run and squeal. Anyway, I got Leytusk tonight and named it Petunia. So I guess it's a girl now? Even though it's got a hairy face?



I really love the colors, but I'm not sure if she'll stick.

I completely forgot to get a decent picture of my newest tame, sorry! When I saw the pale version of this cat in Suramar, I just had to have it! I tamed the one that was sleeping and named her Starlight. I think she's beautiful! I might keep her and let Erebos go since despite how handsome he is, it just isn't clicking with him. But Starlight can't seem to leave my side right now.

That's a bigass owl. I like them, but I don't know what I will do in roleplay with it. Maybe no owl. I named them Mushanor, anyway.


Originally, I just wanted to take a better resolution for my (white) eagle, but I don't really like the new white, and this one was prettier. Again, no idea for roleplay. Maybe old eagle get brown in aging ?



I will not use them in roleplay, it was for principle. Because mooses.



Not sure which one keep yet. My huntress will probably tame one for her daughter. What a better blood elf childhood pet than a mana wyrm after all ?


She rescued this one in Stormheim, and give her the cheesiest blood elf name. Yeah, Dalendal could be translated by "Starbreath". Isn't that cute ?

Now, I normally hate spiders but when I saw these gorgeous models I had to have one. So here I am with Princess the silver arachnodrone!

(strictly speaking it's 'Príncess' thanks to the daft naming rules. But I like to pretend the accent isn't there )

It was tedious having to try four times before getting the key, but I finally did get it so that I could tame a Copper Arachnodrome:

Look what I got for Winters Veil under my tree in my garrison just tonight my newest pet and best friend...THOK!!!

Finally hit 110 on my main Alliance BM hunter and first place I went was to find this guy the manashell turtle now she is a part of my stable which is already filled to the brim.

I also tamed the ripfang wolf, and the two mana saber spirit beasts but the turtle has be my new favorite.

If anyone recognizes my crossbow it is the Merciless Gladiator's Crossbow of the Phoenix the one Blizzard made for the Make A Wish kid who sadly passed away.

Wait what? I think you mean the 1st person to get Ashes, he had cancer, he was given Ashes and did a NPC voice when he was at Blizz headquarters, I don't remember anything about a weapon. You can still hear his voice if you go to Bloodhoof Village, find the Tauren by the bridge, he will say "Can you find my dog?". Its kind of creepy knowing he is been dead for over 10 years.

He did design a weapon while he was there, the Merciless Crossbow of the Phoenix.

If you read the flavor text of the weapon it says "Finely crafted to Ephoenix's specification" which was the kids name I think
