More than likely it's for the Gnomeregan/Echo Isles pre-Cata Event, and possibly for Beta release.
Which means if this is correct timing, Cataclysm will be out either just before, or just after Blizz-Con.

I did that on the ptr...Took like 20 minutes to do that's it. Alot of hype over nothing.

I didn't bother with the PTR for the sole reason of going through the event, because I am a rather mad fan of Vol'jin and have become a recent Horde-addict. Hubby did both events and he enjoyed them.

It's your opinion that it's hype, Adam. But my opinion is that what few screenshots I've seen of it (by choice), I'd like to experience it for myself <3

Hardware upgrades.. I'm not sure about some of the others on that list, but Draenor was one of the early servers, and I know Feathermoon was a release server. So, they probably need to do some hardware upgrades on those servers to get them up to snuff for running Cataclysm.

Meh. I'm honestly not worried about potential hackings. I take precautions for that. And my email address can I think be obtained on this site???? I don't have an authenticator because to be honest it's the least of my worries for expenses right now.

I'm fairly certain it's hardware updates also but could be a few realm changes slowly starting to roll out. I'm still getting excited that this could be something. My realms aren't on the list, which to me is a bummer.

Yea, the whole Gnomer/Echo Isle's thing is just a stall for the moment, but it's also meant to set up a starter zone for Gnome's and Troll's come Cataclysm. So think of it as a neccessary event, where you just happen to see the events that unfold.
