Skoll just isn't for everyone and honestly I'm not sure he's 'for me' either but for now he's my only dungeon wolf and he may look mangy but I can't deny this pup's dps output especially when fully buffed and dare I say it's higher then my level 80 vanilla wolf. \
Those things being said Skoll is also the most popular SB pet I see (other then Arc who's the bellybutton of SB's it would seem) and I'm on the most populated server in the game. Imagine how annoying that is. I only take him out for heroics.

If he's not for you he's not for you. Believe me I know all about the rare SB heartbreak but if you don't truly feel this is a good pairing then don't tame him and leave him be. No one should look down on you for that.

Just because someone is having trouble and because of that lets their hopes go down is not a reason to tell them they are being sour about it, maybe he decided Skoll really isnt worth it? Maybe he decided he dosent really want him? Whatever the case if he thinks its overrated or he dosent thats his opinion and it may differ from yours - I had Skoll and didnt end up liking him part of it was the reason that everyone had him. I couldnt set foot in a town without seeing one..he didnt feel as special..he just felt..common. /shrug - Anyways keep tryin if you'd like Red if not thats fine its up to you :)

Honestly, I just think the wording of the original post could have been different. It sounded like just because the OP was having trouble taming it made it overrated... not because they weren't really interested in getting the pet. All a matter for semantics though.
