These new pets *can* be tamed in build 12319. I'm just listing the new models/colors or old models that were high level before and aren't now in case you want something new to show off.

Spiky crab:
- Felscale Crawler (green) - Level 58 - southern shore of Blasted Lands

Monkeys:
- Skymane Bonobo (black) - Level 31 - Jaguero Island off the Cape of Stranglethorn
- Vale Howler (black) - Level 26 - Northern STV

Foxes:
- Forest Stalker (black) - Level 18 - northeast Redridge
- Redridge Fox (tan) - Level 15 - south of the lake in Redridge
- Redridge Fox Cub (red) - Level 8 - south of the lake in Redridge
- Hill Fox (tan) - Level 15 - central eastern Loch Modan

Mastiff:
- Bullmastiff (tan) - Level 35 - centralish farms of WPL

Bone spiders:
- Skitterweb Lurker (brown with tan spots) - Level 11 - spider cave in Silverpine
- Skitterweb Striker (tan with orange spots) - Level 11 - spider cave in Silverpine
- Skitterweb Matriarche (grey with dk grey spots) - Level 13 - spider cave in Silverpine

Two -headed green carrion-bird (like the one in Outland):
- Bonepicker Felfeeder - Level 55 - all over Blasted Lands

Green Wasp (like the ones in Zangarmarsh):
- Marsh Hornet - Level 15 - middle of the old loch in Loch Modan

Tan condor (like the condors from Northrend):

Thanks for the welcome! I've been a huge fan of this site since forever and finally mustered up the balls to join.
Oddly enough, this is currently the only site I can find that has any information whatsoever on pets. I'd expected all the bloggers to tell us a bit, but the only ones who are talking are all talking about the changes that were blue posted forever ago. Understandable, since they can finally post their feelings about them to the world, but I expected at least a little mention on pets.

Just to let you know... do not attempt to make fun of Ryno... because it will backfire... and you will be made fun of worse... I know from experience...

Anywho, I am loving the fact that there's gunna be a low level wasp! I love wasps! All my hunters apart from my main that are high enough to get one have one! (which means... 1 hunter, sadly ) But never-the-less, I am very excited about that!

Mostly though, I'm just glad that the ghostsaber isn't going away any time soon. I've been worrying about that since Cata was announced. Whenever I get a hunter of the right level, Horde or Alliance, I go and tame myself a ghostsaber.

Gwyn has been my main for the last 27 levels. The only reason he's not always with me right now is because I need to level up my devilsaur.

Yeah I used to have a ghost saber, but I dropped it for the ghost hydra and the Ooze... I love those guys!

I just realized something... since the gorilla and the monkey are in the same family, then that means the monkey gets pummel... who would expect a monkey to pummel? I now picture a large tauren druid about to cast a spell, and then a little monkey pummeling it... That'll be awesome!

I hope they make the slithid wasps tameable i don't really like the OL ones.

I noticed that Petopia's pageviews were actually down quite a bit today. I was surprised, but thinking about it I figure most people start off by reading and talking about the big things like talents and weapons and zones and umm .. stuff. And get to talking about things like pets later. Whereas the first thing I want to know is where to tame a black fox.

But thankfully I have this place to keep me from feeling too lonely in my obsessions.

I know exactly what you mean! And I want someone to go off and confirm whether or not we can tame the white and blue foxes. It'd just be cruel to show us such pretty skins and then not let us have them, right?

The twenty slots thing makes me really happy, too. Now I can go and tame myself another hyena, which I had to get rid of when I tamed my devilsaur.

...But I named my devilsaur after my hyena, so I need to find a new name. Ugh.
This also means we can collect all the Spirit Beasts without giving up our favourite pets!
