I am really loving the fox!!! That translucent owl is really cool to, but fox's rule!!!!
just outa curiosity but is anyone looking to see if previously untamable pets can be tamed? (talbuks *hint hint) like basilisks/deer/dinos etc...not sre if theres a forum topic out there to ask this on.

Apparently stags now hgave diets. Which implies that they'll be able to be tamed. We probably won't know about a lot of them until later in the beta, though. Flagging mobs as tameable seems to be one of the last things Blizzard does.

I wont lie I kinda hope those foxes DONT get smaller. I hate the wolf models and THAT fox model is so friggin great

That's true, it does look pretty awesome all huge-like. As I said, I just hope all the pets get bigger, not just the fox. Having small pets is sad-making.

... Or gryphons. First time I went there and saw the wild ones flying about, I freaked, because they were labeled as beasts. ...But beast lore told me the truth, that they were not tameable.

...BUT JUST THINK ABOUT IT. HOW AWESOME WOULD IT BE? For all I care, they could be an exotic bird of prey. Sweet jesus, it'd be the ultimate sign of being BM. Even more than devilsaurs and spirit beasts. "Oh, I reached 60? IMMA GO TAME A GRYPHON!"

HAHA actually you know what? I agree. Id love to have a gryphen. We just dont have alot of big hardcore pets. We got the devilsaur and thats it. Ok and the rhino but no one likes them. If we can tame gryphens thats first on my list...Though i think they would shove them into the cat family

I like the rhinos, but I'm holding out for a non wooly version to tame. If there were a non wooly rhino I would go bm just for that. Rhinos are my fave animal, the wooly ones just look off to me though.

They do have furious howl (they're classified as wolves, not as their own family). And there seems to only be three skinds currently avaliable for taming, though I personally want the other two.

Redith;; I know, right? Especially since Alliance can tame the bloodelf flying mounts. Not that those are really all that special, but still. It's not like Horde can tame any of ours. But there would probably be a riot of some sort if gryphons were added as Horde-only tames.

That was the pet I wanted the most, and reinforced my desicion for BM. Come to find out, they're not tameable PREIOD. It was a sad day for me.

Yeah no doubt that Blizzard's gonna shrink that fox. I keep really wanting/hoping for a Hunters' pets' Buiscuit (that'll increase Hunters' pets' size alot). And if Stags really do "have diets" now, I wouldn't mind having a deer Aeladrine.

Yeah, they were talking about it on the beta forums. However, they did say that Beast Lore still says it's not tameable. And then the discussion about how "Blizz waits 'till the last second to flag stuff as tameable" popped up.

Stags, Zevhras, and the like would be pretty awesome as pets. I remember the draenei starting area and how I always thought that the stags were the toughest opponents and thank God they were yellow. Curse you, knock back effect!

Honestly, I doubt anyone DISSAGRESS with that. I mean, at the moment our pets are especially intimidating. It's not like when you see a devilsaur for the first time and want to run away screaming. I mean, imagine if those beauties stayed their size! We'd be the kings of the battlegrounds because NO ONE would go near us.

... But medium sized is good too. Just bigger than what we've got.

Seriously, Blizz. Don't put our devilsaurs back to their original size. I have enough problems trying to fish with that guy out, I don't need him hoggin the whole screen.

Sorry, Ruby, the odds of foxes not becoming massively popular in Cata is incredibly small. >_> At least based off of the initial feedback from the community.

I personally dont think that it being "popular" should determine if you tame it or not. I mean look at those Zul'Drak hounds those were WAY popular for the longest time and then it died down and now everybody has northrend worgs. /shrug - I'll be getting a fox because I've waited for 1 since day one of WoW
