*shrug* He swims, same way they all do. I've not really noticed any sort of special swimming animations on any of my pets, they just always paddle along, even when I get to walk around on the seafloor.

and pretty much straight off you run a tiny little quest to fetch a couple of starfish and a conch shell and a friendly shaman casts a spell on you that lets you breathe underwater and takes away the underwater-movement penalty!

Makes it much more bearable.

OH! and also you'll eventually get a free underwater mount, to further yer speed.

That's the cheapest solution I have ever heard off! It also renders a racial completely useless.

Uninnovative? Shammy water walking and breathing spells require Fish scales and Oil. It isn't so far fetched to believe with how much the elementals are showing themselves now, that a HIGH LEVEL SHAMMY- since it seems afaik the quest is for high level toons right? can make something, equally high level from creatures modified by the sudden shift of elemental forces.

It's not uninnovative or anything of the sort.

You're missing my point Ryai. They exchanged what could have been a fun and innovative mechanic, for a quest. A quest which, BTW, doesn't seem very challenging. Even then, having just ONE quest give you permanent underwater breathing. They could've at least made it a chain.

Why make it a chain when in the end all you'd end up with is a single item giving you permanent water breathing and the like? This isn't an epic mount. It's not something lowbies can have access to. Most people are probably already going to be up to their ears with quests, chain quests, chain quests and phasing, that I doubt you or I or anyone come Cata live, if this quest remains as is, will really complain about fetching a few items for a shammy to hex.

I'm not missing the point tbh, it's the fact you're making a fuss over one quest when there's several thousand out there >_>
