Anywho i'm going to make one a mount and i'm going to swim around bringing terror to all! i'll make kiddies cry and people will tell tales of cowmuflage the whale shark rider!

AMG. Okay. Three thoughts.

1. That whale shark is amazing! I've always loved whale sharks.
2. I'm with you guys on the "large things underwater" thing. I saw a kelp growth once that almost reached the surface and I shiver even thinking about it. So creepy. The thought of turning around to see a massive beast floating through the water towards me is just... Ergghhh. However, being able to look up and see it swim overhead is kind of epic.
3. Aggressive? Really? .-. They're such nice gentle creatures. Why are they aggressive? :-/

Cos its a fantasy whale shark and not a real one me thinks. I think its built into us to fear big things underwater as there would of been things like corcs etc that would of preyed on us back in the day and heck they still do.

I love enormous creatures like this that can freak you out and add an element of danger to watch out for. So far I think players only managed to kill it via a bug. They may call it a whale shark but I won't think of it as being similar to the friendlier type we know. I had saved a bunch of pictures from the beta forum. Yeah, I found the big serpent too, but for some reason he doesn't trigger the ZOMGrun D: in me like the whale shark does...

I think he's kinda cute, actually...



But even if he was after me... He (and everything else in this expansion, I guess) still has to compete with the way I felt when I turned around and saw this:

i still remember the first time i found that giant kraken off the coast of borean tundra for that naga chick. i didn't realise i was actually only a few yards away from it when i spun my toon around and saw it. all but crapped my duds right there and then.
