You can always log onto your b.net account to check, but don't follow any link in those mails, go to battle.net yourself. They can make an adress look like something else, you see.
I also exist on DeviantArt.

I believe that Blizzard will eventually e-mail you about the beta just to let you know in case you haven't been checking your account -- at least that's what I heard from someone in the F&F alpha, although it might have changed for beta -- but I'd ignore all the e-mails anyway. Apparently the beta shows up on your battle.net account well before you get an e-mail. So if you get an authentic-looking e-mail, just go to battle.net manually (I mean type it in) and log in to see if it might have been legit.
But even if you think the e-mail might be legit, I wouldn't click on links in the e-mail. It's just too easy to be fooled. Even for us net veterans.
