Oh dear- we know people love the clutch mother skin. What are we going to do?

Well why not put it in the Swamp of Sorrows? Give people an incentive to go quest there again.

Hey, The barrens exploded too. Where should we put Azzere's skin?

Hey now, why not the swamp again, ST's there and there's already a red WS in there. Give people a chance to tame him without going into the dungeon!


In other words, who cares? Blizzard is giving us the chance to keep the skins instead of retiring them.

I'm a little angry with Blizz for doing this to rares,but I have a theory as to why. Its a long shot,but its possible they want spirit beasts to be the new rare to encourage people to hunt them down. Maybe they have plans to add lots more. Even if this turns out to be the case its still horrible news since you'd either need dual spec or be BM for that specific kind of hunter fun.

There's still a good amount of rares out there that all specs can tame. I think it's actually something simpler than that: Cataclysm has changed the face of Azeroth forever. What better way to emphasize this than to throw more bright, exotic colors around? Look at most of the new pets/more distributed skins that have been added. Green carrion birds. Pink and blue tallstriders. Green wasps. Foxes of various stunning shades. Bright red serpents. You get the idea. Overall, they're quite vivid. There are a good number of more neutral colored pets around as well (monkeys, mastiffs), but most of them aren't.

YES! I can finally have that wind serpent without having to wait for it all the time! never did tame it, always took too long, or was dead already when I got there

I'm definitely happy to hear this. I want the red one (or the white, I keep changing my mind) but I know I'd get completely lost in ST. I always do.
