Wow I'm sorry so many of you guys have had such horrible problems. I had something similar happen. Someone had left a giant piece of raw meat in front of my door. My mom didn't see it and when she let the dog out to bring her to the car, my dog tried to eat it. We wrestled it away from her and called the vet. We had to give her some meds right away to make her throw up incase it was poisoned. Thankfully she was able to throw up and didn't suffer any ill effects. Later I found out from my best friend who owns a dog walking business that there was a group going around poisoning people's animals and when they rushed them to the vet they would break in and rob the home. We called the police, but nothing ever happened.

Do you Americans have high-res satellites or something? All you can see of my house is a reddish blur... :/

Bulletdance, that's horrible! At least you didn't get robbed. :/

Yeah, it's very good in North America (it's not all Americans over here ;P). Test it out, pick some city and zoom in, you'll see.

It's very variable quality in Europe. My parents are North of Copenhagen, and their picture is great quality.

Yeah, I've seen that Stockholm and such have pretty good pictures, but, simply because she has a yard, I didn't assume she lived in a city. Guess I'll be looking around the US... :P

Is it possible that a utility company or the county could have trimmed the trees? For example, every once in a while our electric company comes along and does a heavy trim around the electric lines and poles. It's never particularity clean looking either, they're just preventing problems, not landscaping. It's also possible that the cable, phone, gas, water or sewer utilities could do the same thing. Even the county will get in on the act if plants are overgrowing the road.

Then again, it could be malicious. It's better to look for ways that it isn't first. :)
