I don't think it's too bad, it's a great chance for undergeared characters to get some nice loot. Especially trinkets, which are a pain in the butt to get a hold of. People won't mind carrying you since it's only one boss, and he still goes down pretty easily.

From doing the quests yesterday, I guess you only get a free Brewfest Stein this year if you don't still have the one from last year. No new FoS. Meh. Even if I get nothing else, the extra 2 Frost Emblems a day will definately help. (Just got my second piece of Tier 10 gear yesterday!)

Anyway, does anyone know what's the minimum level you have to be to face Direbrew? I have two alts at lvl 75 right now, and I'm wondering whether to bother trying to power level them or not. I might for my warlock -- I always wanted a black Kodo for her -- but since I'm trying to grind rep with the Shattered Sun on my Mage and have her locked in at 75 right now so she can continue to queue for MT, I'll probably not bother with her.

Good luck to everyone getting your mounts! :)

you can only buy the rams if you completed the quest to purchace one a few years ago.
I am very dissapointed though with the brefest this year...for one, the trinkets havent changed since last year, the brewstein you get is labeled green stein of 2009...ummm...yeah.... And I really thin that the brewmount that drops from the "kegbag" should be BoA...since I keep getting it on my druid who has them all...and not on my toons who still need them...sigh.

Great tip!

Nevermind silly ol' me, I guess my parachute screwed it up. I did a carefully calibrated (Completely random I KILL U NOW>dismountflier>kill shot) drop in WG and got it.

This is frustrating....You get a whole bunch of tokens the first day and then after that they only give you 1 daily that gives you a melesly 15 token plus a mini daily. You got that ram run to that gives you 2 tokens per run till your buff runs out. *sigh*..So day 2 I have 164/200 tokens and I can only gain 31 per day..

Oh noes! just be paitent dude not that hard. I used to get 40 or so tokens on the ram daily so don't worry you got ages.

I am just sad that theres no real point for me to do anyof this as i only need the boss on my druid but shes lvl 77 so she can't do him and i jhave the purple proto and all 3 brewfest mounts on cow :( I do wish they updated these things.

They didnt add anything new at all this year besides the frost badges. I agree the mounts should have been BOA. i'm going to be mad if i get the ram on my DK (who has it already).

Just in case if that happens (if you get the same mount), keep it in your inventory. you never know what may happen in the future.

At least it takes about 2 minutes to queue as a DPS (for me anyways) and the boss is dead within another 2. Alot quicker than Ahune

But I want it now! I've waited for almost 2 years as I originally gave up.

There's actually two dalies. The one when you do the barking in Ironforge/Orgrimmar is easy because it's always there. The second is a little trickier--you have to wait for a Dark Iron Dwarf attack, and then repel the attack. When they leave, they leave a gear behind that offers you another daily, which you can turn in for 10 or 15 tokens (I forget how much).

And then there's the ram running, which is just annoying.

I know you can't QUEUE for him until 80, because my hunter is 77 on Nesingwary and I can't just pop the queue. I'm gonna try and get a few guildies together at some point and see if I can hitch a ride with them. Direbrew is such an easy boss you could probably still take him down with a few under-80's.

I was able to get 12-13 runs on the extra ram run. I had the max speed up all the time and followed this route that takes along the apples witch restores your fatigue or whatever it's called to zero. so I have 164 and I need 200. 12 lets say so that's 24 tokens + 10 + 15 = 213 tokens min. I know I can get 13 and possibly 14 run. So if everything goes to plan tomorrow I will get getting my drake.

Upgrading to the triumph badges trinkets would have been nice, but that's still a jump from ilevel 200 loot to 245!

Yeah. oh well. people always want to queue after its done. i leave party right away since its pointless once you get the trinket you want.

I got the dps dagger shanker thingy on my elemental shaman, i guess thats 19g bonus...

I also got the Ram on my horde pally today. That will have its uses though so I'm happy about that.

I want a mount on Sil, and I also want one of the beer-summoning trinkets. I don't really care which one, I just want one! XD

I feel kinda silly though, a few weeks ago I finally saved up enough for my Mirror of Truth, and after all that the Coaster has dropped like five times for me. ><; And I don't need it anymore! Gah!

Got the Tankard O Terror last night. x)

Amusing story...last year I won one and didn't really check to see that it was BoE. I had assumed it was Soulbound like the other purple drops from Coren, so...I vendored it.

Couple months after Brewfest I see them going for 1k+ on the AH. I was kicking myself a bit. x)

Anyways, this time I'm going to hang on to it and hopefully sell it later. :3

if it makes you feel better Veph, this year they go for under 300g on my server

Oh and Vel, those trinkets can drop for him, so you can just keep queueing until you get one (i'm happy the queue's only last about 3-4 min as dps)

Yeah, yesterday I saw them going for 300-400 on the AH. They'll probably be pretty low right now since there will be a lot on the market, but I figure if I wait a few months after they disperse they might go back up in price.
