Don't attempt him folks: There is a bug saying "There is no loot." Happened to me as well. Needless to say, I'm very sad. But, a ticket is in, and hopefully it is a priority because it is more important than borked up quest text. (What happened on my lock, who also sent a ticket in. xD)

I don't think it's a bug saying 'you have no loot'. That just means you didn't get anything besides Justice Points, which is the norm. Just like with Brewfest you only got Frosties most of the time.

Though the bug where you mouse over the thing to summon him is like... ultra annoying..

That...actually might be it. It explains why a few others did. I'll hold onto my ticket, just to get an answer for sure, but that's a good theory.

I only think thats it because I saved Kegs from Brewfest on two characters. On the one (that I knew before 4.0 only had frosties in it I didnt loot) gave me only justice points and said 'There is no loot'. Then on my other keg, it gave me justice points, a tankard of terror and didn't give me the no loot message.

Just did him on all my toons. Not much of an issue with my two DPS chars, but hoo boy. Fun times with my Tank and Healer.

Haar, my DK tank of awesome, had the fun time of trying to tank with only one DPS. All the others were DCed. Thankfully, even though my gear with him is kinda low, we managed alright.

Hylian, my resto shammy, had the opposite problem. Our tank DCed leavign us with two DPS. One of them was a lock though, and we decided to voidwalker tank. Problem was it couldn't hold agro for it's life, so it was more like the mage was tanking. Then the lock was tanking. I'm just glad that I'm a fairly decent shaman healer. Our actual tank did end up appearing later on, and isntantly took control of the situation.

Nothing good dropped alas, but it certainly was an adventure. XD

I can validate Gum's theory: Fire queues up, and she wins a broom in the end. No loot error.

So no reins yet.. I probably used up all my luck the other day when I got the Zulian Tiger. A guildie just got the HH mount though, lucky ass. Hopefully I'll get it this year, good luck to everyone else too

I quickly threw some points into my paladin's holy tree, redid my most important heal binds, and queued. When I looted the reward bag I got:
1) A magic broom.
2) The awesome looking pumpkin helmet which doesn't do anything aside from making you look awesome.
3) The Horseman's Reins.

I am now somewhat stunned. Also somewhat miffed it's on an alt and not my hunter, but I really shouldn't complain, should I?!

On my untalented mage, I just got "There is no loot".

On my hunter I got a magic broom.

My paladin clearly got all the love tonight!

I haven't had any issues as of yet, and I got the reins on my first try, plus a magic broom. Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket today...

This guy is terribly glitchy / buggy

I hate it that I got a Loot filled pumpkin... but when I opened it, it said NO LOOT!!!!

On the page with known bugs, it says that the last character in a group "May be unable to receive loot" or something like that. Seems it's happening.

The 'no loot' thing is clearly because justice points don't register as loot. We're still given the bag so that we can receive the justice points, but there's nothing to show for it. Have your justice points tracked on your backpack before looting, and you'll see it go up.

I've seen several suggestions to have a dps click the pumpkin. Apparently, clicking it has a 50% chance of DC'ing you. Well anyway, when they zone back in, even if he's dead, you'll still get your bag. Better than having tank or heals DC, amirite?

I've just been able to speak to a GM about the issue with no loot. Basically it's totally intentional. So if the bag is empty.. tough

Well, just did this on my boyfriends mage. He got the mount!! I just texted him a picture of his mage on it, but he hasn't responded. I bet he will be super happy! Im jealous it wasn't on my character, but at least I finally saw a mount.

I have the justice points set to show on my backpack but I still get the no loot error message and it just gives me my 23 justice points.

It's empty, but not really. See, it really contains 2 frost badges and occasionally either the horse, the helm, or the pet. But since frost badges melted, you will now see loot bags with nothing but a few drops of water in them, because the other three items are only occasional drops.

Not a bug.

Totally intentional.

Blizzard, at least put a gosh darn rock in there, that way I can at least get a rock.

I didn't say it would remove the error message, I said you'd see your total justice points increase as you loot it.
