being called a huntard
Re: being called a huntard
It does seem somewhat insulting even when it's not meant to be, at least under my perspective.

Re: being called a huntard
My main is a healer so I'm in the same boat as Epicfail. Being called huntard is such a small thing compared to being cursed up and down by some idiot of an undergeared tank that thinks he can chain pull just because I have decent gear. "Hi, I have a mana pool. When the little blue bar disappears, so do your heals, genius." Some people never learn.
I don't sweat things on my hunter, I know I'm not the best out there. I won't even claim to be good. So maybe they're right and I play a 'tard of a hunter. Oh well, at least I'm trying and I'm having fun. So what if my pet decided to run halfway across the map because of a pet attack targeting flaw in the coding of the game? I can't fix that.

Get used to it.
It's always someone else's fault.
To be honest, a lot of people know that leveling a hunter is pretty easy, thanks to our loyal companions. So a lot of people roll a hunter. And let's be honest: To have a lion/bear/wolf/insert random beast fight for you while you're spiking the enemy with arrows is way to cool to not play it, right?
What does that mean? It means that the number of hunters on any average realm is pretty high, although only a select few are really into the class. If you have 100 rogues and 1000 hunters and 10% of all people are plain stupid idiots that leaves you with only 10 dumb rogues but a 100 dumb hunters.
You are very likely to get one of those then one of the rogues, so in the end you say:
"Man, why do I alway get the huntard? Pick a rogue next time!"
See what I mean? Get used to it, shrug it off.
Take it on the chin, get up again, dust off your armor and keep DPSing like hell!
That'll show 'em, right?
You are a huntard! Be proud of it!

Re: being called a huntard
My rant whenever the word "huntard" starts coming up ...
Hunters are the drummers of WoW. You can get impressively far without a single iota of talent or technique. That does NOT make a really good drummer (or hunter) any less of an asset to their group. =D
I'd be more inclined to take offense at the term if I hadn't been so tempted to use it myself on occasion ...

The most important thing that has already been said, is not to be offended. This is internet and an online environment we're talking about. People can talk shite all they want and flame others, but in the end, they don't know the real you. So just brush it off and don't let them take the fun out of your hobby.
